Colophon V olume 81 of the Blue Hen Yearbook was lithographed by the Herff Jones company of Gettysburg, PA. The book is 384 pages long and printed with a 9" x 12" format.

18 Colophon V olume 81 of the Blue Hen Yearbook was lithographed by the Herff Jones company of Gettysburg, PA. The book is 384 pages long and printed with a 9" x 12" format. This year's edition had a press run of 1200 copies. The cover was manufactured using the embossed process on a Nova Tex Etched Silver base material. The design was created by using black silk-screened paint and Prisma specialty foil finish. A black overtone rub was applied to bring out embossing details. Finally, the cover was textured with a hand-tooled grain. The theme graphic, "Faces in the Crowd", was designed by Karen Nye, Editor-in- Chief, with the assistance of the Herff Jones Art Department. The book's endsheets were printed in four-color process with Prisma foil used to highlight the theme statement. Pages were printed on a 100 lb. stock with a Bordeaux Gloss finish. All caption and body copy was set using Century Schoolbook type. Headline treatments utilized decorative fonts and varied throughout the book. This publication is a non-profit organization printed annually for the enjoyment of the university community. It is our hope that we captured the many true faces of the University of Delaware.
