28 Pictured above: Vicky Santos, Adriene Simon & Anna Beth Jager WHAT IS LIBERAL ARTS? Just what, exactly, is the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) all about? That s the question we asked ourselves while designing this year s calendar, which proved to be a challenging task. We wanted to try and find a way to relate the College of Liberal Arts to an overall theme that might somehow depict all of the different and wonderful aspects of CLA. Because there are so many unique and equally important ways to define CLA, it was difficult to narrow things down. No two experiences in this college are the same. Our vision for this year s calendar involved a focus on this uniqueness while also looking at the aspects of the college that apply to all students in their own individual ways. Each month captures the collaboration and diversity that CLA offers to its students. So, as this small piece of CLA hangs against your office/bedroom/laundry room wall, take a minute to skim its pages for a glance into life in the College of Liberal Arts. Because while each picture may say a thousand words, we decided to choose just a few: This is diversity, ambition, and a free exchange of ideas. This is passion, teamwork, and leadership. This is where you find your place. This is the College of Liberal Arts. This is Auburn. The Office of External Affairs would like to thank everyone who submitted events, ideas, and photos to the calendar. Photo credits go to: Vicky Santos, Director of External Affairs; Adriene Simon, Art Design Specialist; and Anna Jager, College of Liberal Arts PR Intern, Maryjane Simms, and Shanna Lockwood. Design by Adriene Simon. Special thanks to Wendy Bonner, Eleanor Hudson, Tyler Toledo, Wake Up! Coffee Shop, Toomer's Drug Store, and our students, alumni and faculty. FIND YOUR PLACE.
