2 arine Corps arathon Course Road Closures Below are the road closures for the 39th arine Corps arathon (C) and the C10K on Sunday, October 26. Both events start at 7:55 a.m. and will run through Northern Virginia and Washington, D.C. The C wheelchair/ hand cycle division starts at 7:40 a.m. on Route 110 in Arlington, VA, with the C and C10K to follow at 7:55 a.m. Only these streets below will be affected on event day. The initial closing time allows approximately 30 minutes prior to the lead hand cyclists beginning the C precisely 7:40 a.m. The second time reflects the last official runner after crossing the starting line no later than 8:33 a.m. while maintaining 14 minutes per mile pace until mile 20 at Beat the Bridge. Straggler buses will follow Rear Pace (14 minute per mile vehicle) and runners will be strongly encouraged to board or become pedestrians departing from the certified course. The course officially closes at 3 p.m., after approximately seven hours.
