Designer's EdgeTM, electronic instructional systems design and development software Digital Video Editing Adobe PhotoshopTM/ImageReadyTM RELATED CORPORATE EXPERIENCE LB&M Associates, Task Leader, Lawton Chamber of Commerce and Industry promotional CD, Discover Lawton- Fort Sill. This project demonstrates my ability to use a systematic approach to analyzing, designing and developing multimedia titles for commercial marketing use. It also shows the ability to organize a multimedia production team in order to provide fast service. As in all projects I used the talents of a team of professionals to design and develop this title in 30 days. The title uses text, graphics, animation, audio, and video to provide users with an aesthetically pleasing presentation. I also provided users the option to dig deeper into a given area by giving them the option to view statistics and other factual data. Task Leader, Training for the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) Staff Modeling System. These projects showed my ability to design and develop a rudimentary multimedia program that would run on anything from legacy 286 PCs to, then, modern Pentium IIs. I was responsible for conducting job-task analysis on the graphical user interface (GUI) used for the INS s Staff Modeling System. I used Designer s Edge for this task. While the software was being built in another division, I supervised and reviewed the development of a paper-based User's Manual that was based on my training analysis. I also wrote and programmed an on-line, computer based training application that can be made to run concurrently with the GUI and the modeling software. LB&M s software division developed the authoring tool I used. Project Leader, Naval Air Weapons Station, Point Mugu Electrokinetic Experiment Video Documentation. Videotaped three phases of a multi-phased environmental cleanup experiment. The project required performance of on-site analysis of procedures and processes and to capture these processes on tape. Edited three of the phases into a coherent whole, using a PostBox digital, non-linear editing station. Project Leader, Multimedia Computer-Assisted Course Development for the Automated Training Analysis and Feedback System (ATAFS). This project demonstrated an ability to design training for a computer application as the application was being built. Because training was being designed while the software was being developed, I and my programmer were able to influence the design of the application s GUI to make it more user-friendly. I was responsible for the analysis, design and development of a CAI course on the use of the U. S. Army s Simulation Network s new Automated Training Analysis and Feedback System (ATAFS). I determined the tasks necessary to operate this new system. I also decomposed the tasks into skills, knowledge and abilities and provided the customer an outline of each lesson, simulation and test. In accordance with the contract, I wrote the scripts and storyboards for the program and assisted in the programming and delivery of three prototype and one final version of the CBT. We used Quest for the development. Each version was delivered on an ISO 9660 complaint CD-ROM pre-master.

5 Project Leader, Computer-Assisted Training Analysis and Design on the U S Army s SINCGARS Radio: I managed a team of training analysts and media specialists responsible for the analysis of tasks for training field artillery general-purpose users in SINCGARS tasks. The goal of the project was to reduce 22 hours of resident instruction to 10 or fewer hours of resident/non-resident computer-assisted instruction. Work under this delivery order of the TRADOC Omnibus Training Support Contract resulted in three deliverables constructed in accordance with MIL- STD-1379D. The Learning Analysis Report decomposed tasks down to basic skills, knowledge, and abilities; Lesson Specification Report grouped tasks into lessons and modules and provided samples of tests and lesson content; and the Instructional Media Design Report (IMDR) provided a detailed outline of each lesson, simulation and test. The IMDR also provided the estimated resources required to complete the development of the CAI course. Project Leader, Multimedia Computer-Assisted Course Development on the U S Army s SINCGARS Radio: This project was the Army s first multimedia training project delivered on CD-ROM. It demonstrates my ability to integrate (then) new technologies into a coherent whole. I was ultimately responsible for developing the script and storyboard and compact disc master for a general-purpose user, SINCGARS operator's course. All deliverables met the specifications of MIL-STD-1379D. The package was an interactive training and simulation software package that used video, sound, animation, still photography and art. I also developed a paper-based User's Guide adjunctive to the software package. Besides the User's Guide, deliverables consisted of a paper-based Prototype I, a Prototype II consisting of a CD supplemented with written instruction, an alpha version CD produced in-house, a beta-version CD produced in-house for validation, and a final CD master. Project Leader, Video Production, Operation Stewardship: The Army and the Environment (TVT-5-56): Managed a team consisting of a training developer, video production specialist, sound engineer, cameraman, and graphic artist, to produce an environmental awareness training video entitled, Operation Stewardship: The Army and the Environment (TVT-5-56), for the U.S. Army Engineer School. Deliverables for this delivery order under the TRADOC Omnibus Training Support Contract included a video suitability report, content outline, script, storyboard, shot list and resource support list, and shooting schedule. All deliverables met the requirements of MIL-STD Project Leader, Video Production, U S Army Field Artillery School. Authored or Co-authored preproduction deliverables for seven field artillery instructional videos to complement paper-based Distributed Training Program (DTP) modules for Field Artillery MOS 13B40 Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course (ANCOC). I personally managed a team consisting of a video production specialist, sound engineer, cameraman, and graphic artist to produce and direct three of the videos. Seven videos were delivered in 1-inch video format under his contract. Other deliverables included: a detailed study to determine the existence of "offthe-shelf" videos to satisfy the need for video supplements to the DTPs; content outlines that provided detailed descriptions of narration and graphics; scripts and storyboards; resource requirements; shooting schedules, shot lists; and paper-based student guides for each video. Project Leader, Joint Regional Environmental Training Center (JRETC) Needs Analysis. Conducted a needs analysis to determine the feasibility of establishing a JRETC at Fort Richardson, Alaska to service State of Alaska agencies as well as Federal agencies in Alaska and throughout the Pacific Rim. My efforts culminated in the JRETC Training Master Plan (TMP). This plan consisted of a training situation analysis and a facilities and equipment requirements analysis. The TMP provided detailed plans for establishment of the JRETC including floor plans, computer and tele-training hardware specifications, and five-year curriculum. In addition, the plan showed the number of personnel required to run the facility and estimated that the facility would be self-sustaining within three years. Training Analyst/Writer, MOS 13B40 Advanced NCO Course (ANCOC) Program of Instruction (POI) Assisted in a detailed analysis of the 13B40 ANCOC program of instruction (POI) to determine candidate subjects for Phase II, DTP Pilot Program. The analysis included examination of existing training programs,

6 training in a comprehensive DTP Suitability Study for government use. Following the analysis, I authored a DTP module entitled, Troop Leading Procedures. Project Leader, Field Artillery Cannon Crewman 13B40 Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course Distributed Training Project (DTP). Managed a team of subject matter experts and training developers to produce DTP modules for the Field Artillery Reserve Component Officer Advanced Course (FA-RCOAC) pilot program. I personally authored two DTP modules, Field Artillery Cannon Ammunition and Defense of the Field Artillery Battery. In addition, I was responsible for the overall production of 12 DTP modules. Assistant Project Leader, DTP project. Assisted in managing five training developers in the design and development of 15 DTP modules for Phase I of the 13B40 ANCOC DTP pilot program. I personally developed a DTP module entitled, Opposing Forces during the project. RELEVANT MILITARY EXPERIENCE, 1970 to 1990 Chief, Operations/Test Support, Test and Experimentation Command, Fire Support Directorate (TEXCOM FSD), Fort Sill, Oklahoma, 1989 to Operations officer for the U.S. Army's primary field artillery operational test agency.
