I was responsible for hiring consultants and recruited and contracted with the Virginia Center for Policing Innovation. I am working with JSU Administration to implement VCPI recommendations. This is an on-going project. Served on a study group for the President Pro Tempore of the Alabama Senate to make recommendations for reorganizing Alabama State Law Enforcement. I was the only academic representative in the group. Recommendations were submitted by the group at the end of the 2012 legislative session. Governor Robert Bentley signed legislation implementing most of the recommendations in the 2013 session. Professional Development Elected the Second Vice President of the International Society of Crime Prevention Practitioners, Continuing Education class on Supervising the Toxic Officer directed by the Public Agency Training Council, 2014.

April Completed certification in Advanced Crime Prevention through Environmental Design with the National Institute of Crime Prevention.
