2 CLASS 1: No accident or health risk, largely professional, administration and clerical workers (e.g. administrator, bank official). CLASS 2: As above but with driving or travel in addition (e.g. beautician, sales representative, retail assistant, chef). CLASS 2 Exclusion: A mental or functional nervous disorder applies to this occupation class. CLASS 3: Moderate accident or health risk - largely skilled occupations of a manual nature or semi-skilled occupations involving a moderate degree of manual work (e.g. electrician, nurse). CLASS 4: Appreciable accident or health risk involving physically strenuous work - largely this will involve semi-skilled occupations of a predominantly manual nature or certain unskilled occupations where the physical hazard appears acceptable (e.g. builder, plumber, carpenter).
