1 HEADQUARTERS VALLEY FORGE MILITARY ACADEMY & COLLEGE GENERAL ORDERS Wayne, Pennsylvania NUMBER The Anthony Wayne Legion Guard (AWLG) for SY is established, effective this date. 2. ORGANIZATION. The AWLG will be organized as follows: (A) The Anthony Wayne Legion Guard Headquarters (B) The Anthony Wayne Legion Guard Rifles (C) The Anthony Wayne Legion Guard Dragoons (D Troop) (D) The Anthony Wayne Legion Cannoneers (E Battery) (E) The Anthony Wayne Legion Guard Band (Band and Field Music) 3. SELECTION CRITERIA. Selection for appointment to the Anthony Wayne Legion Guard is based on academic grades, disciplinary record, military deportment and personal attributes. Any Cadet who fails to meet these standards following the appointment may be removed from the Anthony Wayne Legion Guard. Removal from the AWLG will be directed by a board action and published in Special Orders. 4. INSIGNIA. The following distinctive devices will be worn by all members of the Anthony Wayne Legion Guard: (A) Red Fourragere on the left shoulder of the Full Dress Blouse (B) AWLG patch on the left sleeve of the CQ Jacket (Academy)/Dress Gray Leave Jacket (College) (C) All AWLG Cadets will procure the red fourragere and AWLG patch from the Cadet Store and will wear as part of their uniform within ten days of the publication of this order. 5. COORDINATING INSTRUCTIONS. (A) SGT Ryan LaVeyra is the designated Training Officer of the Anthony Wayne Legion Guard. (B) The AWLG will be available to perform as a ceremonial unit at the call of the President, Valley Forge Military Academy & College. (C) Cadets who were members of the Anthony Wayne Legion Guard in SY and not reappointed in SY will not wear the red fourragere on their Full Dress Blouse and will remove the AWLG patch from their CQ Jacket within ten days of the publication of this order. 6. The following appointments to the Anthony Wayne Legion Guard are announced. Cadets selected to fill the positions within the AWLG Rifles are based on seniority and not necessarily on position in the Corps of Cadets.
