1 $1,000 Safe Driver Scholarship We are proud to introduce a new scholarship promoting safe driving for students. Our Safe Driver Scholarship of $1,000 is awarded to any student who is currently attending or planning to attend college or some form of higher education. The scholarship will be awarded on an annual basis for the fall semester. The deadline to apply is July, 1st. Find out the requirements and how to enter below: How to Enter 1. Participate in one of the following Safe Driver Programs listed below or for approval of other qualifying safe driver programs ( scholarship@carinsurancecomparison.com). 2. Create a form of social awareness that inspires other students to focus on safe driving. This can be a video, artwork, essay or anything that would engage other students to focus on safe driving. 3. Once you have completed with steps 1 and 2, please proceed to filling out the application in our contact form below. 4. Submit a link to your video, artwork, essay or creative element of your choice in the final step of the application form. Qualifications Applicant will need to complete one of the safe driver programs listed below. Current college student or anyone planning on attending college (or another form of higher education) in the upcoming school year. Student must have a valid driver s license. Safe Driver Programs American Family Teen Safe Driver - American Family Insurance Participants (Free for American Family policy holders) - Pledge for Everyone (Free) Farmers Insurance Y.E.S Program (Free) Join the Shift Erie Insurance (Free) State Farm Steer Clear (Free) American Safety Council Safe Motorist (Based on State) National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course (Based on State) I Drive Safely Program ($24.95) National Traffic Safety Institute ($24.95) Liberty Mutual teensmart ($119.95) Applicants are not limited to the list of Safe Driver Programs above. Please Scholarship@CarInsuranceComparison.com to submit a safe driving program for approval. Free courses are available; however some paid courses reduce your insurance cost. Check with your current car insurance provider to see what safe driving programs they offer. See C.A.R.E.E.R.S. Program office for more details.

2 Giva s corporate student scholarship and grant award is for anyone attending a college or university. This scholarship grant is aimed at assisting undergraduate or graduate students further their education. There is no specific course of study or major required. Requirements Giva will award $1000 scholarships to undergraduate or graduate students who write thoughtful essays in answering the following questions: How will you use your talents and education to make the world a better place for future generations? What are your career and personal goals and why? The essay needs to be between words, and must be submitted to our mailing address no later than June 1st or December 1st of each year. A current resume must also be included with the essay. Giva will choose the scholarship winners and will award the scholarships by August 15th and February 15th of each year. Students can only apply once in any 12-month period. Award winners are required to perform some community service volunteer work. Your educational institution must post this scholarship announcement on their public web site so that all students at your school have an opportunity to apply. If you found Giva s scholarship on another web site, please advise your school of our scholarship and ask them to please post it on their public web site. Otherwise, you will not be eligible. Essays are competitively judged in a public forum and may be posted anonymously on Giva s public web site for judging so do not include private information in your essay or anything you do not want posted on the Internet. Eligibility & Applying All students, regardless of major, currently attending a college or university degree program either full or part-time are eligible and encouraged to apply. The award is for school tuition so the scholarship check will be written out to the student's educational institution.
