1 Slate of Candidates 2017/2018 NATCO Board of Directors President Elect: Timothy J. Snyder, CCEMTP, CPTC Candidate Statement: In 2000 I started my career in Procurement at Gift of Life Donor program in Philadelphia, PA. I currently hold the position of Advanced Practice Coordinator and Clinical Administrator on call. I ve been fortunate during this time that I have been surrounded by great leaders who have inspired me both personally and professionally to help me excel in what I consider the most challenging careers. When I started at Gift of Life, I brought a unique experience with me. Not only from the perspective of my Pre-Hospital career working as a paramedic in a large city system but also as a flight paramedic. Of course I knew the true value of caring not only for patients but also the families with whom I interacted with during difficult times. Then there is my family. When I started at Gift of Life our son was just 1 year post liver transplant after my wife had donated a segment of her liver in order to save his life. I have carried this perspective with me everyday for the past 17 years. It has guided me when talking with families, facing daily challenges with hospital partners and most importantly in keeping the recipients in mind during difficult clinical challenges to ensure that no opportunity is ever lost to save another life. It has been an honor to have been involved with OPO community for the past 17 years. I am a proud NATCO member and it would be a privilege to represent the NATCO community as your President Elect for term.
