The Lifeguard s responsibility is to ensure the safety of youth and staff while in the swimming pool area. Essential functions of this job include, but are not limited to: Ensure that all safety equipment is in place and in good condition each day prior to the use of the pool. Vacuum pool bottom and walls daily in the time before scheduled swims. Take and record chemical readings of the water each day prior to the client usage and report to maintenance staff any readings that fall outside acceptable limits. Develops, updates, and maintains applicable clinical and school records for assigned student. Evaluates the swimming skills of each client and assigns client to the appropriate area of the pool. Follows procedures for closing the pool due to inclement weather. Demonstrates good judgment and a calm demeanor in crisis/emergency situations. Has the ability to perform lifesaving duties in a crisis/emergency situations. Current certifications in Life Guarding, Standard First Aid, and CPR for the professional rescuer are required. Must be physically fit and be able to meet the physical demands of the position. Experience working with youth with emotional disturbance is preferred. Heart-saver Lifeguard certification is preferred.

Works with clinical leadership across the system of care to meet utilization targets and EMR documentation requirements. Provides regular feedback and coaching to clinical leadership. Ensures that care provided aligns with Hillside s value measurement framework, regulations, clinical practice guidelines, medical necessity guidelines, and utilization standards Supervises staff performing utilization management functions and the Certified Coding Specialist; provides UM training as needed. This person will also assess skill needs, develop teaching programs to increase the use of critical skills, and will provide staff and parent training. This position can be filled as a Care Coordinator III or as a Clinician II. The Behavior Specialist will be required to: Collaborate with educational program staff to plan for generalization of skills to the home or less restrictive environments. Provide clinical support and/or therapeutic care as assigned. Lead projects and provide educational opportunities for staff. Works as a team member in assessing a child/youth/family's needs and is responsible for providing data analysis, graphic documentation and recommendations to support development, assessment and modification of the individual service plan in collaboration with the child/youth/family, and multi-disciplinary treatment team. Utilize the science of human behavior to conduct assessments and develop treatment strategies, experience and education. This is done using age-specific knowledge and cultural competence, in order support the children/youth/families to achieve positive and successful outcomes. Clinician II Master s degree in psychology, social work, counseling or a related area of study, along with at least 3 years of relevant experience is required. Care Coordinator III Master s degree in social work, special education, psychology, sociology or clinical counseling is required.
