Social Media/Text Message/Traditional LTRG of the need for networking and resourcing through SM- ex. Case model Provide examples of communication which has assisted LTRGs Information /Referral Services Identified What are the resources, how are they accessed, matching needs and resources-success stories 4

5 National Seed Grants example CWS (how it is used) National Funding Support Show website examples GSA, CDBG, State websites-first lady s fund and robin hood fund FEMA Invitational Travel support VOAD agencies with costs so leverage assistance dollars to individuals and LTRGs Governor Disaster Funds Education and solicitation of Large Funding opportunities to match and contribute to LTRGs and or their agencies Volunteer hours to leverage resources tracking for LTRG funding matching and in kind for PA soft match and HMGP match which benefits the county helps to tell the story of the power of voluntary agencies and LTRGs Foundations Understand LTRG Mission Key to funding is a strong packet of information and outreach to foundations Community Development Block Grant Continuing these dollars available to LTRG efforts, matching the resource with unmet needs. 5

State VOAD Conference Calls May continue beyond the initial response phase and morph into a recovery call LTRGs are invited to share updates and problem solve together Long Term Recovery Groups Develop regular communications with each other, meeting times, minutes and notes, updates and openness early conference calls for coordination among recovery groups LTRG use communication strategies to share their story developing communication strategies with experienced media leaders relationship with news outlets engaging web and social media experts in designing outreach products GIS Mapping is used to tell the story What we are doing to assist and where 8
