Examples of local government emergency managers for whom this survey is designed include county or parish emergency managers, city, township, or village emergency managers, and tribal emergency managers. This survey asks you to share numbers regarding activities supported by EMPG funding from October 1, 2016 September 30, 2017 (Federal Fiscal Year 2017). Emergency management budgets are defined as all funding that supports core emergency management functions such as salary(ies), planning, training, drills, exercises, public awareness/outreach, mitigation, EOC maintenance and enhancement. Examples of activities that would not be included are 911 dispatch centers, law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical services.
