2 The DOST International Publication Award is given annually to DOST scientists and researchers who were able to publish their research outputs in Thomson Reuters (formerly ISI) or Scopus indexed journals in the last three years before the year of the nomination. Eligibility Requirements: 1. The researcher should be an employee of DOST. Former employee(s) of DOST should provide a certification that he/she has been part of a DOST agency. 2. The article should indicate the author s affiliation as Department of Science and Technology or DOST ; otherwise, the article would be ineligible for the award. However, for articles published in 2014 or earlier that do not indicate Department of Science and Technology or DOST, the author should provide certification of his/her affiliation. of lead authorship, signed by the other co-authors, should also be submitted together with the nomination form. The affiliation of the author(s) should be identified. 5. Part of the research should have been conducted in the Philippines. 6. Abstract and significant contributions to science and technology should be typed in the nomination form. 7. Certification of single publication signed by lead author should be submitted. 3. A printed copy of the screenshot of the page from Thomson Reuters or Scopus Master List of Accredited Journals for the year in which paper was published should be submitted. 4. The name of the lead DOST author should be underlined in case of multiple authorship. A certification Sixty thousand pesos (Php 60,000) will be given per publication. 3 The DOST Granted Patent and Utility Model Registration Awards are given in recognition of the efforts of DOST technology developers whose technologies have been granted patent or utility model registration in the last three (3) years preceding the award. A. Eligibility Requirements: 1. The technology developer should be a DOST Employee. Former employee(s) should provide a certificaton that he/she has been part of DOST. 2. The granted patent/registered utility model should indicate the inventor s/ maker s affiliation as Department of Science and Technology, Philippines or DOST Philippines. 3. Utility model registration issued in the Philippines should be accompanied by a Registrability Report issued by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). Foreign utility model registration should be accompanied by a copy of the certificate of registration as verified by the Bureau of Patents of IPOPHL. B. Incentive: a. Eighty thousand pesos (Php 80,000) will be given as cash incentive to each granted patent. b. Fifteen thousand pesos (Php 15,000) will be given to each utility model registration. A duly accomplished Granted Patent and Utility Model (GPUM) Form should be submitted together with a photocopy of the patent/utility model document.
