Welcome and Introductions Ms Margaret Allison, Chair, welcomed everyone to the February meeting of the Cross Sector Leadership Table (CSLT) and noted apologies. New members John Norfolk (Department of Education and Training) and Donna Skhalla (UnitingCare) were welcomed. 2. Minutes and Action from the previous meeting The minutes from the December meeting were confirmed. Matthew Cox updated action items. It was agreed to aim for a joint meeting of the CSLT and Regional Coordination Group in May 2018 (Action 34). With regard to Action 42, there has been a refresh of Logan Together products and materials which will assist with this. 3. Logan Together New Website and Interactive Roadmap Matthew Cox presented the new Logan Together website and online resources available. Feedback was requested from the members regarding any areas of confusion or suggested improvements. Discussion was held on targets set and whether they factor in population growth. Action 43: CSLT Members to review the new Logan Together website and provide feedback to the Secretariat within a nominated timeframe. Early Years Kindy Enrolment collateral was provided to the members. The Early Years website has also been launched. 4 project is right in the operational phase. Three hubs have been resourced and staffed, namely Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Child & Family Centre at Waterford West, Browns Plains Early Years Centre - The Benevolent Society and The Access Gateway. The Midwifery Unit Manager and midwives have now commenced with the program. 4. Changes Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services Helene Fuller informed the members on the changes to the former Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services. This Department has now been split as follows: Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women (Minister: The Hon Di Farmer) Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors (Minister: The Hon Coralee O Rourke) 5. Project Portfolio: Discussion of schedule and project channels Sandra Fields tabled the Logan Together Roadmap Projects. Projects have been split into Strategic and Tactical Projects. Strategic Projects are those identified as the most important priorities, and tactical projects are others that are being actioned. Those projects noted under Other Roadmap Priorities are projects that need to remain in the line of sight. It was noted there are currently ten projects listed as Strategic Projects but there were initially six identified as major projects by the CSLT. Currently Young Parents Project, Community Gateways, Children Together and the Child Development Workforce Plan are listed as additional Strategic Projects to the original six. Discussion ensued on the importance of the Community Gateways project and it was decided this should remain as a Strategic Project. The additional three to move to Tactical projects. Decision 19: Strategic Projects being undertaken by Logan Together to be expanded to now include Community Gateways. Sandra Fields presented a possible structure for Chapters/projects. This structure links with the above Roadmap Projects. Members to review and provide feedback at the March Meeting. Action 44: CSLT Members to review the possible structure for Chapters/Projects for discussion at the March CSLT Meeting. 6. Early Years Neighbourhood Networks John Norfolk provided an overview of the program of work being undertaken regarding the Early Years Neighbour Networks (EYNN). These EYNNs provide a much needed level of support for the community. The networks includes local primary schools and their feeder early childhood education centres. It includes 10 early childhood leaders in a funded leadership program and two teachers in community hubs to support refugee and migrant students. The project has recently received funding for early years coaches and will allocate a coach to each EYNN. Coaches will begin to take the load of the principal and manage the network. Additionally recruitment has commenced for a Lead Principal an educator to lead this initiative with health partners, non-government organisations and the community. Three early adopted sites include Eaglby, Yarrabilba (Early Rivers Early Years Neighbour Networks) and Kingston Marsden. The next meeting will be held on 8 th March The meeting closed at 11:30am
