This will help provide a valuable insight into the website traffic and marketing effectiveness. This in turn will help strengthen our marketing initiatives. By having Google analytics in place we can avail of the following features. Isolate and analyze subsets of traffic. Create, save, and edit custom reports that present the information organised as intended Put all the information needed on a custom Dashboard that can be ed to others. Export data, create integrations. Perform advanced data analysis with pivot tables, multiple dimensions and filtering features. Google Analytics monitors reports and provide automatic alerts of significant changes in data patterns Custom variables allow definition of multiple, and even simultaneous, tracking segments based on hits, session or visit level data. Using Google analytics, we will also abide by the terms and conditions relating to providing a privacy policy, and that policy will provide notice of use of a cookie that collects anonymous traffic data. 3.5 Rss feeds Effectsplus RSS feed [view-source: ] will be used and linked with the CSP EU FORUM. RSS (Rich Site Summary/ Really Simple Syndication) is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. RSS solves a problem for people who regularly use the web. It allows you to easily stay informed by retrieving the latest content from the sites you are interested in. You save time Page 18 of 25

19 by not needing to visit each site individually. This will help interested parties, receive specific information related to the event be received on a regular basis. 3.6 Effectsplus Twitter Account A dedicated twitter account has been created for the CSP EU Forum to help promote it amongst twitter users. This will be activated and used in the run up to the event. Some common best practices to using twitter in conference situations can be viewed below, this has been obtained from the following source REF [1]. Best practices for tweeting at events 1. A few weeks before the event, start tweeting about the event using the #hashtag you want to use. That establishes the hashtag so that you don t have people trying all kinds of different ones. 2. Use Tweetdeck or some other client app to monitor mentions of the event s hashtag. You can set up a search panel that automatically displays new tweets with that text. 3. If someone says something cool, retweet it. 4. During the keynote or sessions you can see, quote what is interesting, and always add the hashtag 5. Tweet any interesting trends or non-confidential insights from customers. 6. If someone has a major complaint or wants to challenge what is said in a presentation, engage them if you feel like it, but don t let the discussion descend into a long argument. 7. Publicize events happening on the show floor, mention room changes or extra sessions, encourage people to sign up for 1on1s, especially if they are filling up. 8. Organise a tweetup: meet other Twitterers at a certain time, preferably when there is an open bar. It s a nice way to put faces 9. Consider displaying a rolling list of tweets on a display in the hallways. 10. Save some of the best Tweets and display them in the locknote, if there is one, or collect them in a blog post. 3.7 CSP EU Forum Event Management To effectively manage and organise this event, a good supporting event management tool is required to track registered attendees and help support dissemination relating to the event. Eventbrite 1was chosen as the most suitable and has been setup with a dedicated account to support the CSP EU Forum. Sample features of Eventbrite include the following listed bullet points, and Effectsplus will use these features during the assist planning and running of the event. Offer easy online registration Sell from your own site Enable professional ticketing Send customized marketing Tap into social media Leverage search engines and event listings 1 Page 19 of 25

20 Create custom contact lists Use tracking links and affiliates Embed customizable widgets Offer multiple ticket types Automatic name badges and check-in lists Figure 9 Preview of Eventbrite for CSP EU FORUM 2012 Page 20 of 25
