Donegal is a beautifully landscaped area located on the northwest coast of Ireland. 3 Deacon Daniel Bernard Haggerty Deacon Dan Haggerty was ordained as a Deacon of the Archdiocese of New Orleans on December 12, He has served as Parish Deacon of Resurrection of Our Lord, St. Brigid, St. Simon Peter, St. Margaret Mary, and is currently assigned at St. Genevieve Parish in Slidell. Deacon Haggerty completed the Archdiocese Spiritual Director's Formation Program in 1991 and now serves as a Spiritual Director with the Archdiocese. He has completed his course of studies for his Master's Degree in Theology from Notre Dame Seminary. Deacon Haggerty also serves as Chaplain for the Slidell Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The oldest of eleven children, he quit high school at age 17 and enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served three tours of duty in Vietnam; receiving the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the RVN MUC Gallantry Cross. Upon his return from the Navy, he attended Loyola University on the G.I. bill (at night) and received his Bachelor's Degree in Business. He is a Graduate Fellow of the Institute for Court Management of the National Center for State Courts. An Independent Court Consultant since 1985, he is a former Deputy Sheriff of the Jefferson Parish Office, serving in the Patrol Division. He is also the former Chief Deputy Clerk of the Criminal District Court and the former Chief Deputy Clerk of the Supreme Court of Louisiana. He and his wife, Janet, have been married for fifty years and have seven children, twenty seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. He is honored to be named Grand Marshal for the 2018 St. Patrick parade along with his five brothers. Michael Dennis Haggerty, Sr. Mike was born August 30, 1947 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Catherine Elliott. Dan was born and raised in the Irish Channel. June was born and raised in Bay St. Louis MS. Dan and June are both veterans of World War II and were married at Fort Benning, GA in 1945 at the end of the war. Dan and June had 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys. They raised all of the children in the Irish Channel. Mike is the 2nd oldest of the 11 children and the 2nd boy. He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street and attended St. Michael s Grade School. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School in Mike enrolled in Loyola University in 1971 and graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 1974 and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 1978.

4 (continued) Mike served in the U. S. Air Force from 1966 through 1970 and is a Vietnam Veteran. He was posted to the Avionics and Electronics career field where he maintained Inertial Navigation Equipment on F-4 Phantoms in Thailand and maintained Doppler radar equipment while flying on B-52 Bombers and KC- 135 Refuel Air Craft. Mike went to work for South Central Bell in He transferred to AT&T headquarters in Basking Ridge, NJ in 1981 and helped prepare for the breakup of the Bell System. Mike moved to the newly created BellSouth Corporation in Birmingham AL in 1984 after the breakup. In 1991 Mike began a career as a Corporate Security Investigator. Mike spent 24 years in Corporate Security and retired from AT&T with a total of 44 years. While operating in the security industry Mike served as the Gulf Coast Chapter Chairman of the American Society of Industrial Security. He was a Director on the Mississippi Gulf Coast Crime Commission and served as a Director in Crime Stoppers. Mike married his childhood sweetheart, Sandy Walters, also of the Irish Channel, in 1967 while serving in the Air Force. Mike and Sandy have been married for 50 years and have four children, four grandchildren and one great grandson. Mike, Sandy and their family reside on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. Mike is excited and honored to have been selected as a Grand Marshal for the Irish Channel St. Patrick s Day Club for What makes this selection even more valued is the shared selection of the six Haggerty brothers. I know my parents and ancestors are watching with pride and joy as we proudly wear the colors of both the Haggerty name and the Irish Channel Saint Patrick s Day Club. Patrick Edward Haggerty Sr. Patrick Edward Haggerty Sr. (Pat) was born August 24, 1948 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Katherine Elliott. Pat s parents are both WWII veterans, his father served as a paratrooper in the U.S. Army and his mother was a WAVE in the U.S. Navy. Pat is the 3rd of 11 children (3rd of 6 boys). He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street and attended St. Michael s Grade School. He graduated from St. Aloysius High School in He is a Registered Nurse having completed his training at U. S. Army Fitzsimons General Hospital in Denver, Colorado in 1972 while serving as a combat medic in the Army. He also served five years in the Louisiana National Guard. Upon completing his military service, he attended and graduated from Loyola University earning his BBA in 1975 and his Master in Business (MBA) in Pat worked 5 years as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at St. Charles General Hospital in New Orleans while completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees. Upon graduating, Pat accepted a position as Hospital Administrator of West St. James Hospital in Vacherie, LA. He accomplished Board Certification in Health Care Administration and within a short period achieved Fellowship status with the American College of Healthcare Executives. He remained in the healthcare administration field over the next 42 years. Pat is currently a partially retired healthcare consultant and in 2015 was awarded the status of Lifetime Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executive.

5 Pat is married to Mary Jo Komodowski Haggerty. They share three (adult) children, Melissa, Jessica and Patrick Jr. and six grandchildren. Pat and Mary Jo now reside in Baton Rouge, having been displaced by Hurricane Katrina. Pat has always enjoyed fishing and in 2005 became a U.S. Coast Guard Licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer. He is licensed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries as a Charter Captain. Pat is also a PADI certified Rescue Diver. He provides guided fishing services out of Hopedale, LA. in his spare time. Pat, along with his brothers, is excited to be representing the Irish and the Irish Channel as one of the 2018 Grand Marshals. It is also a huge honor to represent the Haggerty family as one of the 6 Grand Marshals. I know my parents are watching with pride and joy as we proudly wear the colors of both the Haggerty name and the Irish Channel Saint Patrick s Day Club. Timothy O'Neil Haggerty Tim Haggerty was born August 30, 1950 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Catherine Elliott. Tim s parents are both WWII veterans, his father served in the Army and his mother was a WAVE in the Navy. Tim is the 5th of 11 children (4th of 6 boys). He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street and attended St. Michael s Grade School. He also attended Live Oak Junior High and Redemptorist High School. After graduating from Redemptorist High School in 1968 Mr. Haggerty joined the United States Navy. Tim is a Vietnam Veteran having served four years in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise and was discharged in Upon completing his military service Mr. Haggerty want to work for South Central Bell Telephone Company. He has been with the BELL System (now AT&T) for a total of 33 years. Tim was a technician with South Central Bell and a supervisor until Tim moved to Memphis Tennessee with AT&T as a National Service Manager. Tim is currently with AT&T in Kenner, LA. Mr. Haggerty also attended Loyola University. Tim has been happily married to his loving wife Lorraine F. Linker for 41 years. Mr. and Mrs. Haggerty do not have any children. Tim is excited to be representing the Irish and the Irish Channel as one of the 2018 Grand Marshals. It is also a huge honor to represent the Haggerty family as one of the 6 Grand Marshals. 6 Edward Aloysius Haggerty II Ed Haggerty was born September 16, 1953 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Catherine Elliott. Ed is the 7th of 11 children (5th of 6 boys). He grew up in the Irish Channel on Constance Street and attended St. Michael s Grade School. He also attended Andrew Jackson Elementary School, St. Alphonsus Junior High School, Live Oak Junior High and Redemptorist High School. Ed received his GED from East Jefferson High School. Ed attended Delgado College and graduated with an Associate s Degree in Science (Air Condition and Heating). Upon completing Delgado, he went to work for Hyatt Regency Hotels, where he worked for 30 years, starting in New Orleans. He also worked at Hyatt s in Houston, Texas and Louisville, Kentucky. He retired from the Hyatt Regency in 2014 to start his own company, Haggerty Services, LLC. Ed presently works for the W Hotel French Quarter as Director of Engineering/Security. In the past 30 years, Ed has also worked as a Reserve Officer with different police departments, including the Jefferson Parish Sheriff s Office, Harris County Texas Constable s office and the Harahan Reserve Police Department. Ed has been happily married to his loving wife, Avri Lee Richmond for 30 years. They have two daughters, Haley Alyssa Haggerty and Rainey Danielle Haggerty. Haley is a graduate of the University of New Orleans and lives in New Jersey where she is a teacher. Rainey served 4 years in the US Navy stationed on the USS Harry S Truman during deployments for Operations Inherent Resolve and Enduring Freedom. She has returned to Metairie and is attending Delgado College. Both of their daughters served on the Irish Channel court, Haley as a maid, and Rainey as a maid and Queen. Ed is excited to be representing the Irish and the Irish Channel as one of the 2018 Grand Marshals. He is honored to represent the Haggerty family as one of the 6 Grand Marshals. Bryan Dennis Haggerty Bryan D. Haggerty (Bryan) was born June 28, 1955 to Daniel Bernard Haggerty and June Catherine Elliott. Dan was born and raised in the Irish Channel. June was born and raised in Bay St. Louis MS. Dan and June are both veterans of World War II and were married at Fort Benning, GA in 1945 at the end of the war. Dan served as a paratrooper in the Airborne Division of U.S. Army in Panama and the South Pacific in World War II. His wife, June Catherine Elliott, also served during World War II as a Radioman 3rd class in the Waves (US Navy) as a Morse Code intercept operator. Dan and June had 11 children, 5 girls and 6 boys. They raised all of the children in the Irish Channel. It may be safe to say a Haggerty child attended almost every catholic and public school in the Irish Channel. Bryan is the 6th and youngest son and the 9th oldest of the 11 children. He grew up in the Irish Channel living on Constance Street until 8th grade and attended St. Michael s Grade School for first grade and finished his elementary studies at St. Alphonsus Catholic School. He graduated from Redemptorist High School in Bryan attended Loyola University graduating with a Bachelor of Public Administration (BPA) in 1980; a Master in Business Administration (MBA) in 1990; and a Juris Doctorate Degree in 1999.

7 Man of the Year Biography Bryan served in the U. S. Air Force from 1973 through 1977 with his last two years assigned to the 52nd Fighter Wing, European Theater, Spangdahlem Air Base, Spangdahlem, Germany. Bryan also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a First Lieutenant, assigned as a healthcare administrator, Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi. Bryan has maintained a private law practice, primarily on the Northshore, since He presently serves as the City Attorney for the City of Slidell, Louisiana. Bryan is married to Sherlene Gerdes. Bryan and Sherlene have been married for 38 years and have three children and two grandchildren. Bryan and Sherlene reside in Slidell, Louisiana, and are parishioners of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Bryan joins his five older brothers in sharing the excitement and honor having been selected as Grand Marshals for the Irish Channel St. Patrick s Day Club for I know my parents and ancestors are watching with pride and joy as we proudly wear the colors of both the Haggerty name and the Irish Channel Saint Patrick s Day Club. Morris Louis (Patrick) Ambrosia Jr. Man of the Year "Well to start, my father and mother married prior to WWII. My father, Morris L. Ambrosia Sr., and mother, Pauline Tortouch became husband and wife in From there, my Dad and Mom had five kids - Sabastian, Patricia, Vincent, Morris Jr., and Darlene. We were all raised on the corner of Annunciation and Felicity, two blocks from Adele St, which was where the Irish Channel was located. I started school at St. Michael located on Chippewa across from Annunciation Square. I made friends there that are still around like the Haggerty's, Fannings, Powells, Austins, Kellers, Burkes, and so many more. In 1967, I joined the Marine Corp for two years. In the last two months I was in the hospital to bring me back from P.T.S. In 1968 I met my wife, Mary Ann Arbour, and in 1971 we married. Mary Ann gave me four beautiful children - Tina Marie, Toby Sebastian, Patricia Ann, and Mary Ann. All great people. I have three fantastic grandchildren - Amber (student at Southeastern), Kaylee (Senior at Chapelle), and Cameron (student at Rummel). They are the best. My family shares our life with my puppies - Guste, MoJo, and Jazz Mini. My life has been filled with basically one thing, my love for God, Jesus, and the Blessed Mary. To that, I am very grateful. I coached baseball, was president of the Dads Club, and volunteer at St. Rita's School in Harahan for many years. I became a Eucharistic Minister in 1999 which is one of my favorite accomplishments. When Hurricane Katrina came through Louisiana, I volunteered with the U.S. Army to help provide water and C rations while helping remove trees and garbage from people's homes. I am blessed to be Man of the Year for a fantastic group like the Irish Channel St. Patrick's Day Club, truly. When a person is complimented on their achievements, it also includes the people who brought him or her to that point. Thanks Irish Channel for having the people that made me the man I am.
