2 A SINCERE THANK YOU! By Vesma Grinfelds, CNCPS President On behalf of all CNCPS clubs and members, it is fitting that I express a very large and heartfelt THANK YOU to Jean Meehan, our past Treasurer. Jean stepped in as Treasurer to our organization more than 5 years ago in difficult circumstances. She spent hours reconstructing bank records and club information. In times when volunteers, eager to help, are difficult to find, Jean accepted the task and her role. We are grateful and truly appreciative. Thank you, thank you. INTRODUCING OUR NEW TREASURER, FRANK SCUDERO! Our newly elected Treasurer, Frank Scudero, has been a stamp collector from childhood! He re-started collecting in 1999, with a primary interest in US stamps, after he and his son attend a meeting of the Diablo Valley Stamp Club. At the time, his son was working on his Boy Scout merit badge. Frank soon became Treasurer of that Stamp Club. He is employed as a supervising accountant for Contra Costa County. Besides being a serious stamp collector, Frank has many volunteer activities with his church and Habitat for Humanity. Thank you, Frank, for having the willingness to work with our society but other groups as well. WESTPEX 2006 IS COMING, APRIL 28-30, 2006 CNCPS MEETING AT WESTPEX The Council of Northern California Philatelic Societies will meet at WESTPEX 2006 at: 12:00 PM, SUNDAY, APRIL 30 PLEASE PROVIDE CLUB FLYERS FOR WESTPEX All member clubs of the CNCPS should make sure that they make informational flyers available at WESTPEX for anyone to pick-up at the table.
