Many thanks to both organizations for supporting the Hampden Senior Center! Sunday March 13th Daylight Savings Don t forget to spring forward!! Greetings! Wow! What a cold snap we had. The negative temperatures and wind chills were enough to keep me inside with a mug of hot chocolate and a warm blanket by the fire! Now it s almost 50 degrees outside maybe that groundhog was right, maybe we will see an early spring. If we do get another cold snap, please remember to check on your neighbors and friends that might need a little extra assistance. Be sure to sign up early for the St. Patrick s Day breakfast on March 10 th. We are welcoming our favorite Irish Duo, Glenshane! Thanks to the Hampden cultural council for sponsoring this entertainment. Also, our Easter luncheon will take place on March 24 th. These are two events you don t want to miss! Just a reminder that the senior center will take your old cell phones and recycle them through the National Council on Aging (NCOA). NCOA will send a check to the senior center for the value of the phones and this money will be used for programs and activities.
