4 2018 PICTURE SCHEDULE SMILE! Group photos and individual portraits will be taken at the Frederick Studio on Thurs. April 19 (classes will not be held) & Fri. April 20 (classes will not be held),and Sat. April 21 (morning classes will be held; no FX or ActingUp.) 10 minutes prior to your assigned time, in full costume, and with hair and make-up ready. Please use a separate picture order form for each class. Photo Orders due date: 04/14/2018. Drop off completed MMPAC Photo Order forms in the appropriate folder on the studio main bulletin board. Students: Remember, NO UNDERWEAR, NAIL POLISH, JEWELRY OR TEMPORARY TATOOS. Check in at the table upon arrival. 7 TICKETS TICKETS GO ON SALE: SATURDAY, APRIL 7 AT 10:00 a.m. - Online and In Person at the Weinberg Center Box located at 20 West Patrick Street, Frederick and There will be no phone orders or fax orders accepted until Tuesday, April 25 at 10:00 a.m. The Box Office is only authorized to sell a maximum of 12 tickets per show, per person. PRICES: BOX OFFICE: $14.00 ea. (purchase 'in person' at Weinberg Center Box Office) ON LINE: $14.00 ea. +$ 1.75 service charge ea. + $5.00 processing fee per transaction. PHONE: $14.00 ea. + $5.00 processing fee per transaction. ARE YOU WONDERING...Do you need to buy a ticket for your performer to see the show? During the shows, performers are kept in reserved areas in the balcony and backstage, and they do not need a ticket. PreDance Students are released to their parents at intermission. If you would prefer for them to sit in their own seat, as opposed to your laps, they will need a ticket. 7
8 DRESS REHEARSAL PROCEDURES VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. See the DRESS REHEARSAL SCHEDULES (on pages 8-10) and highlight the numbers in which your dancer will perform. All performers must report to the BACKSTAGE, ENTRANCE TO THE DRESSING ROOM CHECK-IN. This area is located in the middle of the alley that connects Court Street and Market Street, behind the Weinberg Center. When parking in the West Patrick Street Parking Deck (at 138 West Patrick St.), walk to first level, and turn left at the parking deck payment kiosk that is nearest to the alley. Walk left again, and you will see the back of the Weinberg Center, and check-in table. Performers should arrive and depart in a cover-up to remain as professional as possible. Performers must not walk around in costume, except while backstage. (Dad's button-down shirts work great as cover-ups. PLEASE LABEL THEM WITH PERFORMER'S NAME.) Carry ALL dance shoes in a dance bag. DO NOT WEAR YOUR DANCE SHOES ON THE STREET. Performers should be in their first costume, WITH HAIR AND MAKE UP DONE, UPON ARRIVAL. NO UNDERWEAR, JEWELRY, OR FINGER NAILPOLISH/TOE POLISH during rehearsals or performances. Please label ALL costumes and accessories, including shoes, tights and cover-up. These items will be checked in with your child, if he/she is in more than one number in a performance half. Parents must enter through the front lobby doors of the Weinberg, after dropping performers off. PARENTS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE DRESSING ROOMS. Students will be dismissed into the house, from the door on the left side of the stage, after they dance. If students have multiple dance numbers, they may return to the dressing rooms as needed via the same door. (This only happens at Dress Rehearsal.) 8

12 IMPORTANT REMINDERS The house must remain QUIET during rehearsal. Video-recording and photography are not allowed during the performance shows. However, you may use nonflash photography and video recording devices during the Dress Rehearsals. NO EATING, DRINKING, OR SMOKING IN THE THEATER. All food and drink must remain in the lobby. No tap shoes are allowed in the lobby (They will damage the tile floor.) Carry all dance shoes in a bag, and do not wear them on the street. If you park on the street, remember that the meters are active until 5:00 p.m. If you park in the deck, hourly fees are in effect until 6:00 p.m. After this time, be sure to validate your ticket at one of the garage kiosk payment machines in order to exit. Please read the Weinberg Center Rules posted on the MMPAC bulletin board in the Weinberg Center lobby, and also at MMPAC.com. STAGE LAYOUT Dancers Released HERE 12
13 PERFORMANCE DAY PROCEDURES VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. PROCEDURES MAY BE DIFFERENT FROM DRESS REHEARSAL CHECK IN! DANCERS IN FIRST HALF ONLY: Check in at the Backstage Door (where check in was for Dress Rehearsal) 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SHOW TIME (20 MINUTES BEFORE SHOW TIME FOR PREDANCE STUDENTS.) Parents will receive card with pick-up instructions. For the 2nd half of the performance, volunteers will escort dancers to the supervised student section of the balcony. Pick up for these students will occur at House Left, at the end of the show. PreDance students will be released to parents through the doors to the left of the stage AT INTERMISSION, if they are in the first half. Please wait to retrieve your child until we announce his/her class. DANCERS IN THE SECOND HALF ONLY: Check in at the Inner Lobby Balcony stairs, House Left, just before the show begins. There will be a check in table, with volunteers, on the left side of the inner lobby area, near the stairs. Parents will receive a card with pick-up instructions. These students will watch the first half of the show from the balcony, and then will be escorted backstage by staff and volunteers at intermission. These students are to be dressed for their first number, with cover-up, and carrying dance shoes in a dance bag. Your child will be dismissed off the stage at the end of the show. You will need to present your pickup card to the stage crew, for your child to be released to you. DANCERS IN BOTH HALVES OF THE SHOW: Check-in at the Backstage Door 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO SHOWTIME. Parents will receive card with pick-up instructions. Your child will be dismissed off the stage at the end of the show. You will need to present your pickup card to the stage crew, for your child to be released to you. 13
14 PERFORMANCE DAY REMINDERS FOR EVERYONE REMEMBER: All students must be ready in first costume, with hair and makeup already done upon arrival. Students must be professional at all times, arriving and departing in a cover-up. Students are to walk around in costume only when backstage. If student has a change of costume, please make sure garment bag, costumes and all accessories are labeled with their name, to assist backstage helpers. Please do not send additional items. We cannot be responsible for losses. NO JEWELRY, NO GUM, NO UNDERWEAR, AND NO NAIL OR TOENAIL POLISH, AND NO TEMPORARY TATOOS! No food or drink in the dressing area, except water bottles. No video recording or photography of any kind, during the performances. Attention dancers: No photos are to be taken with phones while backstage and in dressing rooms. 14
