Additionally, the students held a mock trail putting their knowledge from the unit into action. 7 th and 8 th graders are wrapping up their science fair projects and getting ready for their class presentations. The actual fair takes place after Christmas Break. The Cincinnati Museum Center Programs-on-Wheels visited the 2 nd graders with their One World, Many Cultures program. Using clothing, crafts, games, celebrations, music and photographs, students explored cultures from Africa, Asia, Australia, and South and North America. 5 th graders created a Live Famous Person Museum. Students created a poster that they could wear representing a famous person from a biography they read. As visitors (other classes) came to the museum (the cafeteria) the 5 th graders pretended to be a machine that when a coin was placed in a slot, they came alive by acting out and talking about who they were and what made them famous. Passionately Catholic 1 st graders are sending Christmas cards to Safyre, the little girl who tragically lost her family and was badly burned in a fire. Our 5 th grade Girl Scouts collected hats, gloves, scarves and socks that they gave to those in need at St. Xavier Seraph Church in OTR. Students from the St. Andrew campus are making sleeping bags for the homeless while 4th graders are making Blessings Bags filled with gloves, socks, toothpaste and basic necessities. Mary Schutte, a St. Andrew parishioner, will be delivering the items personally to the homeless in Over the Rhine. Students at the Seton Campus retell the story of the family tree of Jesus - the Jesse tree. During Advent, each day begins with a prayer, a short bible story from the Old Testament, and an ornament symbolizing the story of the day is added to the Jesse tree displayed in the main hallway. Students at both campuses made Christmas cards for their adopted seminarians.

Young Rembrandt s next session will begin in January, Please see the Frequent Flyer section for registration information. 8th grade parents Milford High School's Ninth Grade Community is hosting our Parent Scheduling and Information night on Tuesday, February 2nd. We will have a meeting from 7:30-8:30 pm for private/parochial school parents, and will also have elective teachers available to speak with parents prior to our meeting. The goal is to answer any questions that the parents have regarding the scheduling process. Girl Scout Troop #42607 would like to thank you for your very generous support of our hat and glove drive. St. Andrew Campus is invited to kick off their Christmas break at Scallywag Friday, December 18-1:30-4:00 Financial Assistance It is hard to believe we are already planning for the school year. It is the desire of both St. Andrew and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parishes that any family who wants to send their children to our school, is given every opportunity and as much aid as possible. There are several ways in which to receive financial assistance. Our Tuition Assistance program has funds available and assistance is determined by an outside service, FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. Also, SASEAS School is participating in the Ohio Ed Choice expansion program that will pay qualified families their entire tuition. Please visit our school website for more information. SMILE Game Night at SEM Villa SMILE is hosting a Game Night at SEM Villa Thursday, December 17 th from 6:30-8pm. Come play games such as UNO, Scrabble, Rummy, etc. with the residents at SEM. SMILE Dance There is a junior high (7 th and 8 th grade) dance on Friday, January 8th from 7: at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton in the Cafeteria. The cost is $5 per teen at the door and soft drinks will be sold for $0.50. Male and female chaperones are needed or the dance will be cancelled. Chaperones must be lined up by Wednesday January 6th at noon and must be up to date with Virtus. If you are unsure if you have gone through the class please call the office.
