1 SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES 15,000 Degrees Scholarship Fund Description: 15K Degrees is a new initiative to actively engage and mobilize Louisville's African- American community in support of 55,000 Degrees - Greater Louisville's Education Commitment. 15K Degrees seeks to add 15,000 additional post-secondary degrees to Louisville's African-American community by Eligibility: Part 1 You must fall into one of three categories: 1. I will earn high school degree or GED certificate and plan to enroll in college by this fall. 2. I have college credit hours but have not completed a degree program. I am not presently enrolled in college 3. I have college credit hours but have not completed a degree program. I am presently enrolled in college. Part 2 Your eligibility for the 15K Scholarship will be determined by the following criteria: African- American descent; Demonstrate financial need; Plan to attend one of the following colleges/universities: University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, Sullivan University, Spalding University, Kentucky State University, Jefferson Community & Technical College, Simmons College of Kentucky, Indiana University Southeast, or Ivy Tech Community College (Sellersburg, IN campus). Alden Scholarship Fund Description: The Alden Scholarship Fund was established by William O. Alden, Jr. to support outstanding Kentucky residents attending undergraduate or graduate school in the state of Kentucky. The scholarship may be awarded for a maximum of four consecutive years to qualified applicants. The number of scholarships granted will depend upon the funds available for awards. Eligibility: Resident of Kentucky; Attending a college or university in Kentucky (preference given to UK or UL); Cumulative 3.0 GPA; Studying Business Administration Bill & Mary Brey Ag Scholarship Fund Description: The Bill & Mary Brey Ag Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses for students graduating from high schools located in Owensboro or Daviess County, Kentucky. This scholarship is for students pursuing studies in the area of agriculture at a Kentucky college or university. Eligibility: Graduating senior from a high school in Owensboro or Daviess County, Kentucky; Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Pursuing a degree in the area of agriculture (the science, art and business of cultivating soil, producing crops and raising livestock); Attending a college or university in Kentucky; Preference given to students of Trinity High School in Whitesville, Kentucky

2 BOLD Promise Scholarship Fund Description: The BOLD Promise Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses for students from Daviess County, KY who will be attending a post-secondary educational institution. Moreover, the purpose of the Bold Promise Scholarship is to increase the population of the work ready community through attainment of certificates, diplomas, and degrees. Eligibility: Daviess County, KY residents who either 1) left college in good standing with 12 or fewer credit hours needed for completion of a program of study or 2) have completed at least 24 credit hours and have a demonstrated need for assistance to complete their education. Eligible colleges/universities must be accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The only exception will be for students who are attempting to complete a program not offered at a college or university located in Daviess County, KY, in which case grants may be considered for completion at another regionally accredited institution. Brian Jennemann Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Brian Jennemann Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by his family and friends to honor his life and commitment to helping others. Brian was a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with the Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services. He was previously employed by the Yellow Ambulance Company for five years. Eligibility: Age 18 years or older; Accepted into a certified paramedic training program Brice Simpson Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Brice Simpson Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor Lt. Brice Simpson, Air Force. Brice was a student that showed exemplary traits as a soldier and a person. He was a student of Fern Creek Junior Marine Corps ROTC program. He believed in honor, loyalty, integrity, and discipline. Brice was always willing to help and guide those around him. Losing his life at the young age of 25, this scholarship was founded to continue helping those around him as he did in his life. Brigadier General Ronald R. Van Stockum Scholarship Fund Description: The Brigadier General Ronald R. Van Stockum Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses of a graduating high school senior from Martha Lane Collins Army JROTC unit who has the highest grade point average in all studies including the ROTC unit. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Martha Layne Collins High School; Member of the Army JROTC unit Charles A. Reid Memorial Scholarship Fund for Brescia University Description: The Charles A. Reid Memorial Scholarship was established by Mrs. Marjorie Reid in loving memory of her husband. Mr. Reid was very involved in the Owensboro community and served on the Owensboro-Daviess County Community Foundation (currently the Green River Area Community Foundation) for several years. Mr. Reid was concerned about the Owensboro Community, children's

3 education, and particularly fond of Brescia University. Eligibility: Resident of Kentucky; Graduating high school senior from Daviess, Hancock, Henderson, McLean, McCracken, Warren or Webster Counties in Kentucky; Enrolled to attend Brescia University in the fall semester following graduation; Cumulative 3.0 GPA; Preference given to applicants who demonstrate financial need CL Smith Scholarship Fund Description: The CL Smith Scholarship Fund was established to honor Lieutenant Colonel Clarence L. Smith USMC (Ret.). Lt. Col. Smith was the first instructor of the Marine Corps Junior ROTC program at Fern Creek Traditional High School in Louisville, Kentucky. He was instrumental in building the program from its founding to a national accredited unit. In doing so, he established a standard based upon the principals of loyalty, integrity and discipline. This scholarship has been created to encourage and reward those who exemplify these same qualities and values. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Fern Creek High School in Louisville, Kentucky; Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Member of the Junior Marine ROTC program; Enrolled at an accredited college, university, technical or trade school on a full-time basis; Demonstrate financial need. Clair L. Hicks Food Science Scholarship Fund Description: The Clair L. Hicks Food Science Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarship assistance to help defray college or university expenses of students studying Food Science or food related programs. Food programs are defined as Food Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Microbiology, Food Industry, or Food Business. Clay V. & Jennie Ree Watson Scholarship Fund Description: Mr. & Mrs. Watson taught in McLean County, Kentucky for many years and left a bequest to establish a scholarship fund to help educate the needy in their county. This scholarship fund will provide grants to help defray the post-secondary educational expenses for residents of McLean County, Kentucky. Eligibility: Resident of McLean County, Kentucky; Enrolled full-time to attend an accredited two or fouryear college, university, or trade school; Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Demonstrate financial need Darcy Blair Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Darcy Blair Memorial Educational Fund was established by the family of Dr. Darcy Blair with the many contributions made by her teachers, patients and friends who remembered her as someone who felt she had a responsibility to be a positive influence in the world. The fund had been conceptualized by Dr. Blair several years before she was diagnosed with cancer. She had written a plan to create an opportunity fund that would help girls pursue an interest in addition to their formal education, which would otherwise not be possible such as extra-curricular or life experience activities, travel or studying a foreign language. This scholarship does not cover direct tuition costs. Eligibility: Female; Completed at least the 7th grade; Preference given to individuals who clearly

4 demonstrate a plan or commitment for a long-term goal; Applicants who are in secondary school should demonstrate merit and interest in short-term goals, which might lead to a career; Financial need is considered, but not necessary. David Brown Vocal Music Scholarship Fund Description: The David Brown Vocal Music Scholarship Fund was established by the DuPont Manual High School's faculty, staff, students and their families in recognition and honor of Mr. Brown's retirement. Mr. Brown was the vocal teacher and founding choir director at the Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) for 23 years. Eligibility: This fund will provide scholarship assistance to help defray college or university expenses of graduating seniors from DuPont Manual High School who are members of the Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) Concert Choir. Financial need may be considered, but is not a requirement. David C. & Emma W. Miles McElvaney Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The David C. & Emma W. Miles McElvaney Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide assistance to help defray college or university expenses of African-American students from any Jefferson County Public School. Eligibility: African American; Graduating senior from a Jefferson County Public School; Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Enrolled to attend a four-year post-secondary educational institution; Preference given to applicants who will be the first in their family to attend college. Denise Fleck Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Denise Fleck Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by her family to honor a courageous woman dedicated to the prevention and intervention of tobacco use by teens. Denise was instrumental in the implementation of the Teens Against Tobacco Use program in Kentucky and worked extensively with many health-related organizations. This scholarship fund is designed to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses of students who are actively involved in community service activities for the prevention and intervention of tobacco use by their peers. Eligibility: Resident of Kentucky; Actively involved with tobacco prevention programs or activities (ex: Teens Against Tobacco Use Program); Graduating senior from a high school in Kentucky; Cumulative 2.5 GPA and in good academic standing; Financial need will be considered, but is not a requirement. Dr. LL Cull Health Care Scholarship Fund Description: The Dr. LL Cull Health Care Scholarship was created by Alice Ann Cull Sanders in memory of her father. This fund provides assistance to graduating seniors from Franklin County public high schools who have chosen a career in the health care field. Eligibility: Graduating high school senior; Chosen a career in any area of the health care field (for example, but not limited to, x-ray technician, doctor, speech pathology, or any level of nursing training);

5 Demonstrate good character and sufficient academic aptitude to indicate a probability of success in his or her chosen field. Dunaway Scholarship Fund Description: The Dunaway Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 by Samuel M. Dunaway to provide educational grants to graduating seniors from any high school located in Breckinridge, Butler, Edmonson, Grayson, Hancock and Ohio Counties, in Kentucky. This scholarship is based on financial need and recipients will be selected on their determination and ability to successfully complete the degree and/or education program he/she is enrolled in. In the event of a tie among equally qualified applicants, preference will be given to children of current employees or retirees, with at least two years of employment, at the following companies: Dunaway Timber Company, Hy-Price Lumber Inc., Milner Sawmill, Hopkins Hardwoods Inc., A&E Machine Shop, and Fordsville Forest Products. Grants may be used at any college, university, community college, trade school or any other type of post-secondary educational institution in the United States. The annual scholarship amount will equal full tuition at the institution selected by the recipient, up to a maximum of $5,000 per year. The scholarship may be used for tuition, books, fees, and room and board expenses. The scholarship will be renewable for the selected institution's normally expected term of study, up to a maximum of four years (two semesters per year), as long as the recipient maintains full-time status with a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and in good academic standing. Eligibility: Graduating high school senior; Resident of Breckenridge, Butler, Edmonson, Grayson, Hancock and Ohio Counties in KY; Financial need DuPont Manual High School Scholarship Fund Description: The DuPont Manual High School Scholarship Fund was established by an anonymous alum, who attended both DuPont Manual High School and the University of Louisville. This Fund awards one graduating senior a scholarship to attend the University of Louisville. This scholarship will be renewable as long as the recipient maintains full-time status with a cumulative 2.75 GPA at the University of Louisville. Eligibility: Graduating senior attending DuPont Manual High School; Cumulative 2.75 GPA; Attending the University of Louisville following high school graduation Eastern High School Class of 1955 Scholarship Fund Description: The Eastern High School Class of 1955 Scholarship Fund is designed to provide scholarship assistance to help defray college and university expenses of graduating seniors from Eastern High School in Louisville, KY. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Eastern High School in Louisville, KY; Cumulative 3.0 GPA; Demonstrate leadership abilities in community service, co-curricular or extra-curricular activities; Financial need will be considered, but is not a requirement.

6 Edward E. & Beverley H. McDonald Scholarship Fund Description: The Edward E. & Beverley H. McDonald Scholarship Fund was established by Mrs. Beverley H. McDonald of Nicholasville, Kentucky, to provide scholarship assistance to graduating seniors from Bryan Station High School, Lafayette High School or Tates Creek High School in Lexington, Kentucky, or any high school located in Jessamine County, Kentucky. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Bryan Station High School or Lafayette High School, Tates Creek High School in Lexington, Kentucky; or any high school located in Jessamine County, Kentucky; Enrolled to attend a recognized college, university or junior college; Cumulative 2.0 GPA; Employment experience for the two most recent years of high school; Demonstrate financial need Flat Branch Farms Agriculture Scholarship Description: The Flat Branch Farms Agriculture Scholarship was established to provide scholarship assistance to graduating high school seniors from McLean County High School and Madisonville-North Hopkins High School who are looking to pursue a degree in Agriculture. Applicants must be members of Future Farmers of America. Preference will be given to applicants from McLean County High School. Eligibility: Graduating high school senior from McLean County High School or Madisonville-North Hopkins High School; Resident (minimum of 2 years) of McLean of Hopkins County, KY; Cumulative 2.75 GPA; Member of Future Farmers of America; Pursuing a degree in Agriculture Garland & Thelma May Scholarship Fund Description: The Garland & Thelma May Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. Garland May of Harrodsburg, Kentucky to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students from Mercer County, Kentucky. Grants may be used for educational expenses at any grade level, and may be used for any courses of study that will advance the recipient's skills or educational level. Eligibility: Resident of Mercer County, Kentucky; Academic competence; Demonstrate financial need; Preference given to applicants attending a Kentucky school. George & Georgella Geile Scholarship Fund Description: The George & Georgella Geile Scholarship Fund was established by Kathleen Geile to honor the memory of her parents. George Geile, a navy veteran and survivor of the attack on Pearl Harbor, was an electrician by trade. Georgella Geile was a homemaker with an appreciation for the arts. Both George and Georgella Geile placed great emphasis on an education and its role in a person's development. The George and Georgella Scholarship Fund provides scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray post-secondary educational expenses of students from outside North America who attend Spalding University. Eligibility: Enrolled to attend Spalding University as a full-time student; Citizen of a country outside North America; Demonstrate financial need

7 Harriet Poynter Musician Scholarship Fund Description: The Harriet Poynter Musician Scholarship Fund will provide scholarship assistance to help defray college or university expenses of a graduating senior from Shelby County High School who has a passion for music. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Shelby County High School; Pursuing a degree in music. Harriet Poynter Scholarship Fund Description: The Harriet Poynter Scholarship Fund will provide scholarship assistance to help defray college or university expenses of a graduating senior from Shelby County High School who is of African American heritage. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Shelby County High School; African American Harry Isaac Shrader Scholarship Fund Description: The Harry Isaac Shrader Scholarship Fund was established by a bequest from Harry Isaac Shrader to The Temple, Congregation Adath Israel Brith Sholom. Mr. Shrader had a great interest in the education of Jewish students. Eligibility: Jewish faith; Enrolled to attend an accredited college, university, junior college or community college; Seeking undergraduate degree on a full-time basis; Demonstrate financial need Helen "Heidi" Badgett Scholarship Fund Description: The Helen "Heidi" Badgett Scholarship Fund was established by Heidi Honchariw to provide financial assistance to re-entry adults who are returning to college after a period away from school or students graduating from high school or college seeking to further their academic, professional, or career training. The scholarship is for any field of study for students to attend a community college, technical or vocational school, or four-year accredited college or university. Grants will be awarded to applicants with limited financial means who have a strong desire to further their education and demonstrate sufficient academic promise to complete their course of study. Eligibility: Resident of Hopkins County, Kentucky; Enrolled/attend a college or university on a full-time basis; Have/maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA ; Preference given to applicants who will be attending a school outside of Hopkins County, Kentucky. HL Lyons III Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The HL Lyons III Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide assistance to help defray expenses for vocational and/or technical post-secondary educational courses or other such training that would help the recipient attain, sustain or expand their employability by learning new technical skills or trades. Applicants must have experience working in a technical trade, vocation or manufacturing job; or a demonstrated aptitude for a technical trade and/or vocation.

8 Eligibility: Have at least a high school diploma or GED certificate with a cumulative 3.0 GPA; Age 18 or above; Resident of Jefferson, Shelby, Oldham or Bullitt Counties in Kentucky; Clark and Floyd Counties in Indiana; Enrolled to attend a post-secondary institution or an accredited vocational or technical program; Financial need is a consideration, but is not a requirement; Preference given to those currently employed in the manufacturing field, or who has a parent who is currently employed by a manufacturing company. J Clinton Foshee Scholarship Fund Description: The J. Clinton Foshee Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. Foshee to support outstanding graduating seniors at Billingsley High School in Billingsley, Alabama. Applicants must be in good academic standing and enrolled to attend Vanderbilt University or a college/university in Alabama. Eligibility: Graduating high school senior at Billingsley High School in Billingsley, Alabama; Good academic standing; Enrolled to attend Vanderbilt University or a college/university in Alabama Jack Freeman Scholarship Fund Description: The Jack Freeman Scholarship Fund was established by bequest from Dr. Freeman to help deserving graduating seniors from any high school located in Boyle County, Kentucky. Eligibility: Resident of Boyle County, Kentucky; Graduating senior from Boyle County High School, Danville High School, Danville Christian Academy, or Kentucky School for the Deaf; Pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited college, university or community college; Cumulative 3.0 GPA and in good academic standing; Demonstrate financial need Jennifer Zimlich Memorial Scholarship Fund for Assumption High School Description: The Jennifer Zimlich Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by Mr. and Mrs. Zimlich in memory of their daughter. This scholarship is designed to reward an average student who enjoys the visual arts, especially photography. Eligibility: Graduating senior from Assumption High School in Louisville, Kentucky; Demonstrate proficiency or an interest in the arts (a variety of mediums); Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Enrolled to attend a college, university, or community college. Kute Family Scholarship Fund Description: The Kute Family Scholarship Fund was established by Stephen and Susan Kute to provide an opportunity to non-traditional female students to pursue a college education. A non-traditional student is one who did not pursue any form of post-secondary education after graduating from high school for a minimum of 24 months; or the student who entered college directly out of high school but never completed a degree - having sat out a minimum of 2 years. Eligibility: Resident of Jefferson County, Kentucky; Enrolled as a full-time student to attend an accredited college or university in the Greater Louisville Metropolitan Area; Female, age 22 or above; Demonstrate financial need; Preference given to those enrolled in the Family Scholar House Program

9 Laura Lee Sipes Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Laura Lee Sipes Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by her mother, Barbara, to honor her daughter's passion for life. Laura received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Sociology from the University of Louisville and was taking additional courses to become a paralegal. Unfortunately, Laura's life was cut short by several brain tumors. This scholarship will provide grants to residents of Jefferson County, Kentucky who have overcome an obstacle in life. Eligibility: Resident of Jefferson County, Kentucky; Preference given to females; Cumulative 2.7 GPA; Enrolled to attend an accredited college, university, junior college, technical or vocational school; Demonstrate financial need Leon & Helen Ennis Scholarship Fund Description: The Leon & Helen Ennis Scholarship Fund was established by the Youngers Creek Baptist Church to honor two long-time, active members. This fund provides scholarship assistance to help defray the cost of college or university expenses. Eligibility: Graduating high school senior, college/university student, or returning adult who is a member (or the child of a member) of Youngers Creek Baptist Church; Cumulative 2.5 GPA Lisa M. Quesenberry Scholarship Fund Description: The Lisa M. Quesenberry Scholarship Fund was established by Irvin and Mary Ann Quesenberry and Kathryn Quesenberry to memorialize the accomplishments of their daughter and sister, Lisa M. Quesenberry. The scholarship is designed to provide research or study awards to motivated graduate students. This grant will cover necessary research expenses related to the proposed research. This may include support for per diem subsistence and travel to locations where the proposed research will be carried out, and hourly wages for research assistance of limited duration. Limited support for supplies and equipment is also applicable under special circumstances. Eligibility: Graduate student who is overcoming significant personal hurdles to pursue their education; Preference given to females attending Vanderbilt University, studying in the field of psychology Louis B. Payne Scholarship Fund Description: The Louis B. Payne Scholarship Fund was established by the Falls City Pork Producers Association to support an outstanding graduating senior from Oldham, Shelby or Henry Counties in Kentucky, to advance their education. Eligibility: Resident of Oldham, Shelby, or Henry Counties in Kentucky; Graduating high school senior; Cumulative 3.0 GPA; Enrolled to attend an accredited institution of higher learning on a full-time basis; Preference given to those pursuing agricultural studies; Demonstrated financial need

10 Margaret & Lee Thomas Scholarship Fund Description: The Margaret and Lee Thomas Scholarship Fund provides scholarships to residents of Jefferson County, Kentucky who are attending or planning to attend undergraduate or graduate programs at an accredited college or university. Eligibility: Resident of Jefferson County, Kentucky; Enrolled as a full-time student; Cumulative 2.8 GPA; Demonstrate financial need. Marian Kincaid Warns & Carl A Warns, Jr. Scholarship Fund Description: The Marian Kincaid Warns & Carl A. Warns, Jr. Scholarship Fund was established by Dr. Marian Kincaid Warns to provide grants to help defray the law school expenses of students currently enrolled at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville. Eligibility: Currently enrolled at the Brandeis School of Law at the University of Louisville who has completed at least one year of full-time coursework or its equivalent; Cumulative 3.0 GPA in all courses pertaining to labor and employment law; Demonstrate financial need; Preference given to applicants who (1) demonstrate an intention to pursue a career in labor or employment law or (2) despite a physical disability (ex: loss of vision, hearing or mobility impairment, etc.) is pursuing a career in law. Mary Belle Bloch Scholarship Fund Description: The Mary Belle Bloch Scholarship Fund was established by Mrs. Mary C. Jones in honor of her daughter, Mary Belle Bloch, Collegiate Class of 1966 and an accomplished environmentalist. This award is given to a senior female who has demonstrated a special dedication to, and competence in, the natural sciences who intends to continue science studies in college. Eligibility: Senior, female attending Louisville Collegiate School; Cumulative 3.0 GPA; Intend to further studies in science at a college level; Financial need will be considered, but is not a requirement. Mason Family Foundation Scholarship Fund Description: The Mason Family Scholarship Fund was established by Ann Mason Scott, a descendent of one of the founders of Lewisport, Kentucky, to assist graduating high school students in Hancock County who, without financial support, would not be able to pursue a post-secondary form of education. Eligibility: Resident of Hancock County, Kentucky; Graduating senior from a school in Hancock County, Kentucky; Cumulative 3.5 GPA; Actively involved in community service M-H Tuggle Scholarship Fund Description: The descendants of Charles Tuggle, a slave freed by his owner in 1861, established this fund to assist needy young person s attending or wishing to attend an institution of higher learning. Eligibility: Resident of Jefferson County, Kentucky; Cumulative 2.5 GPA; Demonstrate financial need; Preference given to African American students

11 Nelle Peterson Memorial Art Scholarship Description: Nelle Peterson was a founding member and the first President of the Louisville Craftsmen s Guild (now Louisville Artisans Guild), the oldest art guild in Kentucky. She was a former Director of the Art Center in Louisville. Nelle was a well-respected teacher who gave much to developing young students who are professional artists today. We owe her our gratitude and wish to remember her through our Nelle Peterson Memorial Art Scholarship. The scholarship is a one-time award of $2, made available to a graduating senior who plans to major in art or a related field. The scholarship recipient will also be awarded a one-year free membership to Louisville Artisans Guild. The name of the applicant will not be disclosed to committee members, but will be identified by an assigned number only. Before uploading artwork please cover names on artwork whenever possible. No committee member may be related to any applicant nor may any member be acquainted with any applicant in more than a casual manner. Eligibility: Graduating high school senior; Minimum 2.0 GPA; Pursuing a degree in Art; Resident of Jefferson, Oldham, Shelby and Bullitt Counties in Kentucky or Floyd, Clark, and Harrison Counties in Indiana. Percy White Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Percy White Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1989 by Mr. Abner T. White in memory of his father, a lifelong citizen of Cadiz, Kentucky who envisioned and built the city's first telephone system and first electric utility. Selection is based on character, citizenship and academic potential. Steve Hughes Memorial Scholarship Fund Description: The Steve Hughes Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 1997 by Judy Hughes to provide scholarship assistance to residents of Daviess County, Kentucky who are graduating seniors of Owensboro High School. This fund will provide scholarship assistance to residents of Daviess County pursuing a higher education. She received a bachelor's degree from University of Louisville in 2002 and a master's degree from Loyola University in The Donna Scholarship Fund is designed to provide scholarship assistance to help defray the cost of tuition, books, and fees of single, working mothers residing in Metro Louisville who have demonstrated financial need.

Although recipients do not have to be pursuing a degree in the field of music, preference will be given to students with an aptitude for music. Scholarships are for undergraduate students, but may include graduate student if funds are available. William J. Kircher Memorial Fund Description: The William J. Kircher Scholarship fund was designed to provide scholarship assistance in the form of grants to help defray college or university expenses to students who are graduating from a Jefferson County Public School; attend or will attend the University of Louisville, Bellarmine University, University of Kentucky, or Transylvania University; demonstrate financial need; a grade point average of 2.5 or above on a 4.0 scale; and demonstrate strong work ethic and personal accountability.
