2 2012 SCHOLARSHIP PROCESS 1. The deadline for returning the completed application, required documentation, transcript and essays* (when applicable) is Sunday, April 22, Read the criteria for each scholarship carefully. 3. We must receive a copy of your transcript which must provide your name, school name, college level, GPA and Spring 2012 grades. This can be printed from the website or have an official transcript mailed directly to the church. Reminder: put on the envelope (see the front of this packet for the church address). 4. Church membership is a requirement Scholarships are for Enon members only. Student/applicant must be a member of ETBC for minimum of one (1) year as of September 1, 2012 (membership marked as the date of your baptism/right-hand of fellowship at Enon). You must provide your Enon Envelope Number on the application forms. NOTE: Some scholarships require a longer period of membership. 5. All scholarship applicants must provide a student resume along with the application and other required data as stated in each scholarship s criteria. Resume should include, with dates of involvement: A. University/College with Major and G.P.A. B. Enon youth ministries during your high school years, if applicable C. Extra-curricular college/school activities D. Community Service during your college years provide written verification, if possible, on agency letterhead E. Employment F. Awards & honors 6. All essays* must be typed. Each page of the essay must include your name, church envelope number and the name of scholarship for which the essay is being submitted at the top of each page. *NOTE: If the criteria, for a scholarship requires an essay only those applicants that submit the essay will be considered for that award. 7. Please provide a wallet/passport size head-shot photo along with your application. This photo will not be returned. Be sure to place your name and Enon membership number on the back of the photo. 8. All students are encouraged to apply. This packet contains information for scholarships available at time of printing. However, it is possible for additional scholarships to become available before the selection period. Fulfilling the criteria for all scholarships greatly increases your chances of receiving a scholarship.

In lieu of the Graduate Recognition Program, all scholarship candidates will receive an award notification letter in June, be presented to the congregation on Sunday, June 24 th at 10am Worship Service and celebrated at the Scholarship Awards program on Sunday, July 15 th. 10. In furtherance of this commitment, the Church sponsors a number of scholarships ( Enon Scholarships ). The Church agrees to fund all Enon Scholarships. In addition to the Enon Scholarships, individual members of the Enon community sponsor other scholarships. These scholarships are the responsibility of the individual donors, and the Church assumes no responsibility for funding these scholarships.

10 WALKER-BELLAMY STAKEHOLDER SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Sister Kellye Walker and Brother Werten Bellamy) This new $2,500 non-renewal scholarship is established to promote the tenets of Luke 12:48, For everyone to who much is given, from him much will be required (NKJV). The scholarship is available to a full-time college student attending an accredited four-year college or university. Minimum GPA of 3.0 Essay of words describing how you will use the gift of higher education to give back by being a stakeholder in the success of others through community involvement, ministry and/or your chosen profession. DEACONS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Deacon Ministry of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church) This $2,000 non-renewal scholarship is sponsored by the Deacon Ministry in memory of all deceased Enon deacons. The scholarship is available to a full-time college student attending an accredited institute. Completed a minimum of 30 credit hours with a minimum GPA of 2.75 ELIJAH COLEMAN, JR. SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Coleman Family) This $1,500 non-renewable scholarship is established in memory of Elijah Coleman Jr., and will be awarded to a full-time undergraduate student attending an accredited institution, preferably majoring in the field of education. 12 BERT LANCASTER SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Lancaster and Tyler Families) This new $1,000 non-renewal scholarship is in memory of Captain Bert Lancaster who was a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend. Bert Lancaster was very active in track and field and, with friends, created the Philadelphia Pioneer Track Club. This scholarship is available to a male undergraduate who is a full-time student at an accredited institution and engaged in sports. This scholarship will be awarded to a male student who is participating in sports. Minimum academic GPA of 3.0 Participating in sports at the university, especially track and field Membership in the AAU is desirable, but not required. If a member, provide proof thereof. BARBARA CARR MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by Deacon Nate Carr) This $1,000 non-renewal scholarship is in memory of Barbara Carr, who was the loving wife of Deacon Nate Carr and a long-time Enon member with an extraordinary love and dedication for children. Sister Carr served Enon with the distinction of being the first female servant leader of the Trustee Ministry. It is available to a student who has been a member of ETBC for a period of at least one year as of September 1, 2012, is a full-time student at an accredited institution and majoring in Early Childhood Education. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who is majoring in Early Childhood Education. Minimum academic GPA of 2.5 or more NOTE: This scholarship is also being offered, with preference, to a high school graduating senior

13 BARBARA CARR TRUSTEE MINISTRY SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Trustee Ministry of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church) This $1,000 non-renewable scholarship is established in memory of Barbara Carr, the first female Servant Leader of the Trustee Ministry. It will be awarded to a full-time student attending an accredited institution and pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business. It will be awarded to a high-achieving fall 2012 college junior. Must be a junior in Fall 2012, completed 60 credit hours Submit an essay of words on the topic How I m Developing Disciples on Campus (Enon 2012 Church Theme John 1:35-43) ETBC COLLEGE SOPHOMORE SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church Endowment Fund) This $1000 non-renewable scholarship is available to a college student who is a full-time student attending an accredited institution. It will be awarded to a high-achieving fall 2012 college sophomore. 15 PSALM 150 DEACON IRVING R. SMITH SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church) This $1000 non-renewable scholarship is in memory of the late Deacon Irving R. Smith, who was a long-time member of Enon and the Enon scholarship ministry, who served as the ministry s chaplain and was instrumental in the formation of the Enon Scholarship s investments with the Raymond James Financial Services group. Deacon Smith had a love for God, family, church, youth and music. This scholarship will be awarded to a student who demonstrates an interest in music either as an extra-curricular activity, instructional student or as a major course study. Music interest/instruction/participation can be instrumental and/or vocal. ETBC member for a minimum of three (3) years as of September 1, 2012 Minimum academic GPA of 2.75 or more Submit proof of music involvement in form of letter from school band director, school music teacher, choir director, music instructor, etc. NOTE: This scholarship is also being offered, with preference, to a high school graduating senior LUBERTA DAVIS TEAGLE ENON/CHEYNEY UNIVERSITY COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by the Enon Cheyney Association) This $1000 non-renewable scholarship is sponsored by Enon Cheyney Association and is named for the late Sister Luberta Davis Teagle, a former Enon member and Cheyney University alumni. This scholarship is available to a current full-time student attending Cheyney University. Minimum academic GPA of 2.5 or more Submit an essay, not to exceed 200 words, on the topic How I Can Contribute to the Cheyney University Legacy NOTE: This scholarship is also being offered, with preference, to a high school graduating senior

Webster who was the loving husband of Gwen Webster and the father of Kimberly Anderson. It is available to a full-time student attending an accredited undergraduate institution preferably majoring in hospitality management or a culinary arts school; all majors are eligible. SCHOLARSHIP (Sponsored by Brother Wayne Sr. and Min. Icie Baggett) This $500 non-renewable scholarship is in memory of Wayne F. Baggett, Jr., who was the loving son of Wayne & Icie Baggett, is available to a student who is a full-time student attending an accredited undergraduate institution.
