Hendrix, PhD, is director, global science initiatives, at the Alzheimer s Association, the world s leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer s care, support and research. As a member of the Medical and Scientific Relations Division, he provides leadership on specific domestic and international efforts focused on advancing the division s science agenda. A critical element of his role is to manage industry consortia such as the Alzheimer s Association Research Roundtable (AARR); lead the Global Biomarker Standardization Consortium; manage and direct future meeting efforts and output; and assist with the coordination of the $100 million dollar Imaging Dementia Evidence for Amyloid Scanning (IDEAS) Study on the clinical usefulness of amyloid PET imaging. Dr. Hendrix received his Ph.D. and a postdoctoral fellowship from Colorado State University. Before joining the Alzheimer s Association, Dr. Hendrix was a pharmaceutical scientist with a focus on drug discovery for CNS diseases. Dr. Hendrix spent 18 years working at Sanofi-Aventis and predecessor companies, where he rose to level of senior director, U.S. site head for CNS research. He also spent two years working in the biotech industry with various companies, including Oligomerix, which is focused on tau for the treatment of Alzheimer s disease. Anne B. Pagano, LCSW, ACSW, BCD, C-ASWCM, is the Executive Director of the Hoarding Disorder Resource and Training Group. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and certified through the National Association of Social Workers as a Geriatric Case Manager. She holds certifications from the Academy of Certified Social Workers and as a Board Certified Diplomat through the American Board of Examiners. Anne has over 30 years of clinical, supervision and administrative experience in hospitals and long term care as well as geriatric care management, specializing in hoarding disorder cases and guardianship. She obtained her Master s degree in Social Work from Simmons College School of Social Work in Boston, MA and her Post-Master s Certificate in Gerontology from the Hunter-Brookdale Center on Aging in NYC. She was an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University for 9 years, teaching integrative seminars in gerontology and serving as faculty advisor for students specializing in older adults and their families. In the fall of 2014, Ms. Pagano trained with Dr. Randy Frost, Dr. Gail Steketee, Dr. Christiana Bratiotis and Dr. C. Alec Pollard, pioneering leaders of clinical and behavioral research in Hoarding Disorder, at the Hoarding Behavior Therapy Training Institute, held at Boston University. Dr. Stephanie Marcello Duva, PhD, is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of New Jersey. She has been working with adults who have a mental illness for over 10 years in a variety of settings including in-patient, outpatient and partial hospitalization. Dr. Duva is currently Clinician Administrator for The Behavioral Research and Training Institute (BRTI). BRTI is a part of Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care and focuses on interdisciplinary research, training, and consulting services to develop new and more effective treatment options for people living with a mental illness. Dr. Duva is an expert in treating Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in people who also have a mental illness. She has worked as both a consultant and supervisor in training clinicians in The Cognitive Restructuring Program, which is an evidence-based practice developed by Dr. Kim Mueser and colleagues. Dr. Duva has published several articles on this topic. Participants may not be eligible for continuing education credits if they are not on time and present for the entire session. Participants must submit a completed evaluation at the end of the program. Partial credits will not be issued to participants arriving late or leaving early.
