2 Who Are We? Eau Claire Cooperative Health Centers, Inc. (ECCHC) is a federally qualified health center that offers services to communities throughout the Midlands of South Carolina. 3 In March 2015, ECCHC was one of 10 FQHCs in the nation selected to join the HPV Vaccinate Adolescents against Cervical Cancers (VACs) Pilot project through the American Cancer Society. The goal is to increase HPV vaccination rates of year old male and female patients..

7 Focused Initiatives Goal: To increase initiation rate by 10% within two pilot sites Pilot Sites Sterling Sharpe Pediatrics: large urban practice in Columbia with 6 providers o 37% of year olds not initiated series o 16% series completion Pediatrics of Newberry: small rural practice with 4 providers o 34% of year olds not initiated series o 23% series completion

8 Selected Interventions Make a Strong Recommendation Revised Immunization Policy Incorporate HPV into existing immunization schedule Promote AAP recommendation at clinical meetings Prompt the Provider System-wide EHR prompts to avoid missed opportunities Proper HPV series documentation training Chart Review & daily review of schedules to identify immunization needs
