Registration required FITT (3488) n Carotid Ultrasound and Heart Health Friday, May 4 / 8:30 11 a.m. Brooklyn Senior Center, 7727 Memphis Ave., Brooklyn, Every 45 seconds someone in the U.S. suffers from a stroke. Some strokes are due to blockages in carotid arteries, which are vessels that supply blood to the brain. Monitoring for carotid artery narrowing is an effective means to preventing a stroke. Please join Deanna McLeeson, RN, and Greg Krzemien, RVT, for an overview of heart disease and a stroke lecture followed by a carotid artery ultrasound screening. ECT causes changes in brain chemistry that can immediately reverse symptoms of certain mental illnesses, often working when other treatments are unsuccessful.
