She has a depth of clinical experience in ED nursing that will prove very helpful in this role, and importantly, she has UPMC Hamot experience which will serve her well. She feels that she has an open, honest relationship with you and a certain comfort level with that. She made sure that I knew that she does not always agree with you ( ) but she does feel comfortable disagreeing. I think that is very important. I was glad that she disclosed that. There are specific things that she would need from me which she articulated to me. From me: a day with a in Pittsburgh she wants to see the role in action. She also wants a corporate mentor. She wants me to arrange for UPMC Hamot staff from inpatient units and clinical depts to observe their counterparts do their work. And she wants support on site from s from other UPMC sites. All of this is do able from my perspective. I would recommend that you hire her and if possible, have her spend the next few days with Amy to get caught up. DIRECTIONS TO 450 MELWOOD AVENUE: Parking/Building Access: If there is no visitor parking out front when you arrive, drive up to the parking gate and dial 1# for entry into the lot. At the front door, dial 1 to gain access to the building. When exiting the parking lot, you will dial for the gate to lift. From Oakland: Take Craig Street toward downtown to Baum Blvd and turn right. Immediately get in the left hand lane and turn left at the next light onto Melwood Avenue. UPMC is on the right about half way down the block. From Hamot Medical Center: Take 1-79 South towards Pittsburgh Merge onto S via Exit 2A towards the Veterans Bridge. Take the 7th Avenue exit toward 6th Avenue. Keep Left to take the ramp toward Consol Center. Turn Left onto Bigelow Blvd. Stay straingt to go onto N Craig St/PA-380.
