4 Dear Colleagues: NONPF 44th Annual Meeting April 18-22, 2018 I Indianapolis, IN Steering NP Education Toward the Future Welcome to Indianapolis and our 44th Annual Meeting! The 2018 NONPF Conference Planning Committee has done a wonderful job of organizing a program that both, supports the theme of Steering NP Education Toward the Future, and incorporates participant feedback from previous years. This year s meeting will provide rich program content, opportunities for networking with faculty from other institutions, and access to new resources from NONPF and other supporters of the profession. Our dynamic preconference options begin on Wednesday at noon and conclude late Thursday morning. We will start the general program on Thursday at 1:00 pm with a keynote presentation on NP Education Toward the Future. The subsequent plenaries and concurrent sessions will provide useful information, highlight the innovations implemented by NP faculty across the nation, and stimulate ideas which can be implemented in your own programs. We pride ourselves on the interactive nature of this meeting and believe it will be a prominent feature again this year. For new members and first-time attendees, we would like to call your attention to the NONPF Huddles. These informal, informational sessions, organized by the Member Resources Committee, are designed to orient new members to NONPF leadership, Standing Committees and Special Interest Groups (SIGs). Seasoned NONPF members will be available at each huddle to provide important information and answer your questions. We hope that all new members and first-time attendees join us during the Welcome Huddle on Thursday, April 19th from 11:45 to 12:45 in Room 201/3. Many help to make this conference a success and I refer you to the lists of committee members and abstract reviewers for evidence of the many contributors to the program. I also wish to recognize our sponsors for their support and our exhibitors for participating in the meeting. I encourage you to visit all the exhibitors and poster sessions for a chance to win free registration to next year s meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. I hope that you will enjoy the meeting and leave as I do each year renewed in spirit and energized to continue our role in preparing the future NP workforce.
