The other major changes involved departments moving from the bottom 25 percent departments to the bottom third departments advances to be sure but not that significant. The exception is the University Missouri, Kansas City, which moves from the bottom 6 percent the departments to almost the top half departments. So while there is movement in the overall productivity rankings, they generally involve the movement heterodox departments from the lower to the middle ranks, thus making them look more like the average mainstream department, although the differences in the aggregate productivity is fairly small, as indicated by the z-score in column The fifth column,, shows how each department ranks when its heterodox-adjusted total productivity sum
