1 November 25, 2013 UCAR Membership Fees Process and Schedule Fee assessment process: 1. UCAR Members vote at the Annual Meeting to approve new or renewing applications for UCAR membership. 2. After the Annual Meeting, the President s Office staff informs the UCAR Accounts Receivable administrator of the names and points of contact for the new and renewing universities. 3. Accounts Receivable will invoice the new and renewing Member universities for their respective fees and track payment of the fees: Initial (one-time) Membership Fee 10,000 Renewal Fee (every 8 years) $3500 We will continue to be flexible with regard to schedules for payment of Membership fees. All new or renewing Members may pay in full when their application is approved, or set up a payment schedule (UCAR s accounts receivable will bill you annually). If the latter option is chosen, the fees should be paid in full by the time the Member s term is up for renewal again (within 8 years). For example, if the Member s (including former Affiliate s) renewal was approved in 2013, the $3500 fee payment can be pro-rated over any number of years, but must be paid in full before the next renewal date of Annual payments over the 8-year term: New: $10K/8yrs = $1250 annually Renewing: $3500/8yrs = $ annually FYI: All Members whose applications were renewed in 2013 (including former Academic Affiliates) will be billed $3500 in late 2013 for the next 8 year membership term; to set up a payment schedule, contact Aneka Finley (afinley@ucar.edu). All other former Affiliates will be billed /year until their renewal date. A list showing the renewal schedule for all Members follows below:
