8 TAP INSTEAD OF TYPE. I like that we can design our own templates. This lets us quickly and easily document a complete chart without the need of time-consuming manual typing. We can tap instead of type. I can add pertinent positives and negatives, physical exam findings, and so on to templates that are customized to each and every chief complaint. A template only needs to be customized one time, and it is then easily accessed by all providers with one simple click. In my experience, different providers have very specifically worded information they like to use when documenting a patient s chart. Being able to customize the templates prevents providers from having to routinely manually type in information, and makes the chart personalized for each provider and patient. This saves us tons of time. DR. GLENN HARNETT Chief Medical Officer American Family Care, AFC/Doctors Express SEE OUR EMR UP CLOSE. 9 QUALITY SAFETY SCOPE NOW AVAILABLE! tbd UCAOA ACCREDITATION PROGRAM Distinguish your organization to patients, payers and the medical community by demonstrating your commitment to excellence. The Urgent Care Association of America offers the only existing urgent care accreditation that not only recognizes the more traditional processes associated with quality and safety, but also the scope of the services provided. This allows centers to showcase that they are the best in class for both certification and accreditation. The UCAOA Accreditation has been developed for urgent care, by urgent care professionals. Our urgent care surveyors work in tandem with your leadership to enhance and distingush your organization. Get your center started toward this unique recognition, visit ucaoa.org for more information. Look for the all-new UCAOA Accreditation track held at the 2015 Spring Convention!
