3 EMMA Asia Finals 2014 Following the successful launch in 2011 and an even more prosperous repetition in 2012 and 2013 Asia s Crème de la Crème EMMA competitors will again meet up to figure out who has Asia s best sound car. The 2014 Final Series will take place in Japan, Taiwan, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, China and in Thailand as the final stage. To guarantee fairness the judge team will travel around to all locations and judge all cars with the same staff. The final ceremony and awarding will take place in Bangkok on November 30. EMMA is a global Network of CarMedia Enthusiasts. The main target is to bring people together who share the same hobby. All together would not be possible without the generous support from manufacturers and distributors of CarMedia products. 8 EMMA Asia s Boss Somkiat Pookayaporn Since 2014 EMMA decided to win Somkiat Pookayaporn from Thailand to become the leading head for the platform in Asia." The need to have someone in charge for this important region was just there and to support the growth from the head Office in Germany was simply not possible. So we searched for a solution to have a local representative in charge for it. With Somkiat we found the perfect partner and are happy about the results, said EMMA CEO Alex Klett. Somkiat Pookayaporn was able to manage all the different standpoints coming from all directions and to canalize them into a common understanding of what EMMA s targets in Asia are. Somkiat was also the source for establishing meetings and conferences with Partners in Asia based on the positive experience from Europe. 10 the global car lifestyle network EMMA founded in 2000 has successfully emerged to a global leading community of mobile media enthusiasts, top-class mobile media specialists as well as committed entrepreneurs. Within the last years EMMA became a fast growing community which is now established in more than 40 countries worldwide. It is the nature of each individual to compete. The problem is always that a competition creates a small group of satisfied people and a huge group of unsatisfied people. EMMA has taken a number of steps to eliminate this situation. In the 90 s car audio competitions were battles between philosophies, teams and countries. The EMMA Car Audio Competitions in contrast are cool Events with a party in the evening and no bad feeling for those who did not get a trophy. It was a key priority of EMMA from the beginning to stop the fighting and to create a sportsmanship with respect for the work of others and the concept for competitors to develop their own audio system to a higher level. Instead of arguments we have friendship among the competitors and in addition, the relationship between the judges and competitors are much more relaxed. EMMA has consistently focused on providing a neutral, trend-setting platform to promote and carry the fascinating world of custom made mobile media installations to consumers. Primarily specialised on car sound competitions EMMA s activities are today also focussed on offering a professional communication panel to manufacturers and specialists to promote themselves and their products, and to gain best possible brand awareness. The partnership with Europe s most important trade shows and sound & tuning events is a strong cornerstone of the EMMA network.

16 CarMediaWorld 2015 and European Championships Salzburg After the extremely successful European CarMedia Championships in March 2014, the EMMA board decided to host this most important European event again in Salzburg. Together with the international Head Judge Seminar it will be another milestone in the history of EMMA. All Global EMMA affiliates with their leading Head Judges and the best European Competitors will travel to the beautiful world heritage City in Austria. The dates for the head Judge training will be March 18/19 and the following European EMMA Championships will be on March 20 22, both inside the Salzburg trade fair centre. Under the Brand Label" CarMediaWorld" a new Exhibition will be established in Salzburg. The aim of this trade fair is to create a new platform for all leading manufacturers to welcome their international guests to display their newest innovations and products.
