10 Regional Seminar Workshops on EST across the regions of the country, in cooperation with local government units and local academe counterparts. National Conference on Environmentally Sustainable Transportation presented case study reports on effective approaches and best practices in achieving EST objectives in selected local government units, across the country. Forum on Greening the Transport Sector presented and discussed the National EST Strategy and Action Plan of the Philippines to various stakeholders, - with the cooperation of multilateral and international organizations, such as UNCRD, ADB, CAI-Asia. 13 Current Initiatives Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Mitigation for the Transport Sector of the ASEAN Region aims to develop, implement and monitor the policies, actions plans and measures to increase energy efficiency in the land transport sector towards climate change mitigation for ASEAN and its Member States; funded under the Technical Cooperation on Cities- Environment-Transport of the German Government. ASEAN-Japan Action Plan on Environment Improvement in the Transport Sector (AJ-APEIT) ASEAN Member States agreed to implement measures to realize low-carbon and low-pollution transport systems, based on the National Implementation Plan (NIP) of member countries; funded by JICA.
