With charitable funds established either fr the cmmn gd r fr special purpses, ACF wrks t achieve this gal. Nnprfit rganizatins prviding services fr animals anywhere in Arizna are invited t cmpete fr a grant frm the Arizna Cmmunity Fundatin's animal-related funds. Grants will be awarded t prjects that aim t supprt the welfare f wild animals and dmestic pets that are ill r injured, need placement in a hme, r need t be returned t their natural habitat. ACF encurages prpsals that: Leverage matching funds Engage strategic, missin-driven cllabratins/partnerships Build the capacity f the rganizatin Supprt direct service prjects Supprt ne-year prpsals Supprt direct administrative csts assciated with carrying ut the prgram, such as staff salary/wages, prject management, marketing, cnsultants, supplies, pstage, travel, training r equipment, newlyacquired infrmatin technlgy, etc. will be allwed. Direct csts can als include directly attributable administrative supprt, legal r accunting functins, with distinct and measured effrt n the prject. ACF will accept prpsals that benefit and supprt: The welfare f wild and animals and dmestic pets that are ill r injured The welfare f dmestic pets that need placement in a hme The welfare f wild animals that need t be returned t their natural habitat Funding Request Range ACF will accept nly ne prpsal frm a qualified rganizatin. Eligibility Requirements What If Any Arizna 501(c)(3) rganizatin, gvernment agency, and tribal entity that perates with fiscal accuntability and respnsibility. Religius rganizatins may apply fr funding f nn-sectarian prgrams. Organizatins must demnstrate a nn-discriminatin plicy regarding staff, emplyment, gverning bard and service based n race, ethnicity, religin, gender, sexual rientatin, gender identity, age, disability r natinal rigin, and prvide evidence f the plicy. The applicatin fr this grant cycle is nline. If applicants d nt have internet access, they are advised t cntact lcal public libraries, which ffer free public internet access. Organizatins are required t have a cmpleted and visible prfile n ACF s website: Incmplete rganizatinal prfiles will result in the declinatin f yur applicatin. Organizatins withut 501(c)(3) status must use a fiscal agent t apply n their behalf. Fiscal agents must have a visible prfile n the ACF website, and als be a 501(c)(3) rganizatin. The Grantee must return all unexpended grant funds immediately upn request by The Arizna Cmmunity Fundatin if (1) the Fundatin, at its sle discretin, determines that the Grantee has nt perfrmed in accrdance with this Agreement, r (2) the Grantee lses its exemptin frm federal incme tax under Sectin 501C 3 f the Internal Revenue Cde f 1986, as amended (the) "Cde" and is classified as ther than a private fundatin under Sectin 509(a) f the Cde. Grant Des Nt Create a Partnership. The Grantee shall nt in any manner indicate, nr shall the grant r any dcuments related theret be in any manner deemed t create r cnstrued as creating, any kind f partnership, jint venture r ther similar relatinship between The Arizna Cmmunity Fundatin and the Grantee r ther party. The Arizna Cmmunity Fundatin shall nt be deemed in any manner respnsible fr the debts, liabilities r ther bligatins f the Grantee, including any such debts relating t this Prject. Amendment. This Grant Agreement shall nt be amended r revised except by a written dcument signed by the parties heret. Changes r Prblems Occurring During Grant Year. Any changes r prblems in the Grantee Agency that affects the Prject must be reprted t The Arizna Cmmunity Fundatin immediately.

Capital Campaign - A capital campaign is an rganized drive t cllect and accumulate substantial funds t finance majr needs f an rganizatin, such as a building r majr repair prject, r t build endwment. Endwment is cnsidered a capital asset. Challenge Grant - A grant that is made n the cnditin that ther mnies must be secured, either n a matching basis r via sme ther frmula, usually within a specified perid f time, with the bjective f stimulating giving frm additinal surces. Cmmunity Fundatin - A cmmunity fundatin is a tax-exempt, nnprfit, autnmus, publicly supprted, philanthrpic institutin cmpsed primarily f permanent funds established by many separate dnrs fr the lng-term diverse, charitable benefit f the residents f a defined gegraphic area. Typically, a cmmunity fundatin serves an area n larger than a state. Cmmunity fundatins prvide an array f services t dnrs wh wish t establish endwed funds withut incurring the administrative and legal csts f starting independent fundatins. Fiscal Agent - a nnprfit 501(c)(3) rganizatin that agrees t accept and be respnsible fr grant mnies n behalf f the nnprfit grantee. Frm 990/Frm 990-PF - The IRS frms filed annually by public charities and private fundatins respectively. Grantees fr Cmmunity Fundatins funding may be 501(C)(3) rganizatins, public schls, municipalities, and American Indian Tribes. Philanthrpy als cmmnly refers t grants f mney given by fundatins t nnprfit rganizatins. Philanthrpy addresses the cntributin f an individual r grup t ther rganizatins that in turn wrk fr the cause f alleviating pverty r scial prblems, thereby imprving the quality f life fr all citizens. Philanthrpic giving supprts a variety f activities including research, health, educatin, arts, and culture, as well as alleviating pverty. Pst-grant Evaluatin - A review f the results f a grant, with the emphasis upn whether r nt the grant achieved its desired bjective. Seed Mney - A grant r cntributin used t start a new prject r rganizatin.
