Students are enrolled in ACCC classes based on testing requirements and choice of a career path within high-demand Health career occupations. Goals of Grant Train students in high-demand Health career occupations including: Certified Nurse Aide Certified Home Health Aide for CNA Medical Assistant Phlebotomy Patient Care Tech Electrocardiogram Technician Central Service Technician Medical Administrative Office Specialist. Medical Billing and Coding All courses prepare students to take National Certification exams in their field. 12 ATLANTIC CAPE COMMUNITY COLLEGE GIS Workforce Education Project of Southern NJ US Department of Labor Employment & Training Admin The GIS Workforce Education Project of Southern NJ will focus on the GIS technology field and will build ACCC s capacity to provide academic and workforce training programs that address the emerging needs for incumbent, ancillary, and future workers in the technology of GIS. The project will focus on these objectives: Create a GIS Workforce Education Model relevant to the labor market in the southern NJ coastal region, Train entry level and advanced GIS users for geospatial industry certifications, Integrate GIS education into multiple academic disciplines, Establish a pipeline for GIS education for students transitioning from high school to community college to four year colleges and universities. 19 ATLANTIC CAPE COMMUNITY COLLEGE Youth Professional Opportunities Program FY10-10 In-School - Atlantic County Atlantic Cape May Workforce Investment Board Provide In School Youth, Retail, Sales and Service Training instruction as part of collaboration with Oakcrest High School and Atlantic County Alternative High School. It is offered to low income youth with additional obstacles who are enrolled in the Alternative Route program. It will include instruction, program coordination and support for a maximum of 12 participants. Goals of Grant Provide Retail skills enhancement (Customer Service) classes to In School Youth in support of the Retail industry. Upon completion of program, students will be prepared to sit for National Certifications in Professional Customer Service and Sales.
