Goals of Grant Enable adults to acquire basic literacy skills and English Literacy/Civics instruction and assist limited English proficient adults to acquire skills and knowledge to become active and informed parents, workers and community members. The customized training will build employees leadership and human resource management skills, and improve the organizational effectiveness and viability of Tilton Fitness. Goals of Grant The focus of the training is in supervision classes as managers are promoted from within and generally lack management skills. Emphasis is placed in building a strong foundation and developing a customized management development process for all their supervisors. Goals of Grant The focus of the training is equally divided between process improvement processes and management skills. Application of Lean/Six Sigma processes will better examine outcomes and address the effectiveness of two major projects in the organization. Over sixty supervisors and managers will upgrade their skills in supervision, performance management and leadership skills to better address the needs of their positions. 11 Name of Grant NJ Department Of Labor S4J13009 NJ Dept. of Labor The Casino Consortium grant includes three local casinos: Tropicana, Borgata, and Golden Nugget AC. Training under this grant will upgrade basic supervision skills for casino employees and will provide a path for articulation in Hospitality Management college classes. Emphasis is placed in culinary skills and sanitation for all three casinos. Over 1,100 employees will participate in classroom training. In addition to classroom training there is OJT reimbursement for over 2,000 employees. Goals of Grant The focus of the training is supervisory and management skills to better communicate with line employees with the opportunity to achieve college credits. Over 150 employees will improve their culinary proficiency in both restaurant and sanitation skills. Over 600 trainees will participate in classroom training and almost 2,000 employees will be processed for OJT reimbursements.
