2 1 OBJECTIVES OF ENERGY AWARENESS CAMPAIGN The objectives of this Energy Awareness Campaign are to: Raise overall energy awareness among all staff and students Target specific SEU s where energy usage is high and further increase awareness among staff and here Engage staff and students in energy saving activities Inform staff and students of ongoing energy management projects Reduce energy consumption throughout DIT through awareness raising measures

3 2 ENERGY AWARENESS TEAM Role of Energy Awareness Team Planning and implementing the energy awareness campaign for DIT. Organising energy awareness day to take place on XXXX Design of poster campaign. Raising energy awareness in their own departments / sections by raising issue at house committee meetings Providing updates to staff and students on how their building is progressing and any problems they encounter Working with the DIT energy team to track savings and consumption which can be used in promotional material Providing input into improvements of the energy management plan Providing updates to senior management. 4 3 COMMUNICATION TOOLS The following are a list of communication tools available to the energy awareness team for implementation of the energy awareness campaign. Also included below are key personnel to be contacted before use of these tool and guidelines that are in place regarding their use. Melda Slattery Public Affairs Yes IT guidelines on mass ing to staff and students poster to be ed to all staff and students with an update on ISO application along with energy usage for each SEU. Intranet Melda Slattery Public Affairs Yes IT guidelines on type and size of intranet article poster campaign to be posted online with a news article to be written up by Stephen Folan.
