If you don t see him over the weekend, you ll be sure to see him soon he comes to us from Malone s St. Andre Besette Parish, and originally hails from Watertown. I ll let him tell you more about himself, when he has the chance to talk directly with you. I ll just say that I m pleased that he s joining us here, and I look forward to working with him. This coming Friday (October 5th) is the First Friday of the month. Our customary First Friday Holy Hour will be at Sacred Heart this month, and it will entail a special allnight vigil. You can find more details in another part of the bulletin. I will be there, and anyone who wishes to join me for any of the time that night to pray is most welcome to join me. ~Fr. Mark DIOCESEWIDE CAPITAL CAMPAIGN BEGINS SOON IN OUR PARISH The Diocesanwide It s Our Church, It s Our Future Capital Campaign will soon be upon us. The Diocese has set a $16 million goal, which will include $1.3 million for the 2018 Bishop s Fund Appeal. Of the funds raised, 75% will remain right here in our Parish, to support major needs such as capital improvements. The remaining 25% benefits the entire Diocese supporting Retired Priests, Seminarians, Camp Guggenheim and St. Mary s Cathedral. Please prayerfully consider a gift weeks. Contact Person: Charles For more information: M/L P N Share Your Talents with Trinity Students Trinity is very excited to introduce an enrichment program this year, and they are looking for YOUR help. They need adults who wish to share their talents with students from 36 grades. Some student suggestions are woodworking, jewelry making, gardening, cooking/baking, art (focusing on special techniques, such as pottery, charcoal drawing, pastels, etc.), photography, creative writing, scrapbooking, knitting/ crocheting, sewing, technology (such as coding), and chess. You may even have your own ideas to suggest. This program will consist of three 6week sessions running in the fall, winter and spring, one day per week after school from approximately3:154:45. If you are interested, please contact Candace O Neill at or her atcathalumni@twcny.rr.comas soon as possible. All volunteers who come in contact with TCS students must undergo a simple background checkand receive training through the diocesanwide Virtus program, which will be offered at Trinity at the end of September. Trinity 30 Club Tickets Still Available 30 Club raffle tickets are still available at the TCS office! 30 Club winners are chosen every day the school is open, with the chance to win $30 each day and $100 one time each month. AND, members have the chance to win multiple times, since there is no limit to the number of times one can win the raffle. FIRST FRIDAY VIGIL IN OCTOBER What: An allnight vigil of Adoration When: 9pm Friday, October 5th until 9am, October 6th Why: To make reparation for sins in the Church, especially among members of the clergy and religious who have violated their vows of chastity, and violated the innocence of members of the Lord s flock; for healing of those who have been deeply wounded by such sins and abuse.. Where: Sacred Heart Church A Mass of Reparation will be offered at 9pm at Sacred Heart on Friday evening, and then the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed for Adoration and the Church will remain open throughout the night. The Vigil will conclude with Benediction at 8:45, followed by the 9am Mass. Seasonal Mass Change Mark Your Calendars! Sunday, October 7th, will be the last Mass of the Season at St. Lawrence Church. On Sunday, October 14th, the Seasonal Mass will move to St. Mary s Church at 5:30pm.
