The Aggies will then cross the border to Idaho to close out the week against Idaho State on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 12 p.m. SERIES HISTORY VS NEBRASKA The Aggies will host only its second Big Ten Conference team when Nebraska comes to town on Monday, Sept. 2 at 1 p.m. in a Labor Day matchup. Utah State is 0-2 against the Big Ten, last facing a team from the conference on Aug. 31, 2001, falling to Northwestern in Logan. The Aggies also fell to Indiana in Bloomington, Ind., on Sept. 10, In that matchup, USU fell to the Hoosiers, 3-0. The Cornhuskers are 2-1-0, falling to No. 6 BYU on Aug. 31 in Provo, 3-0. Nebraska also had wins against Southeast Missouri, 4-0, and Cincinnati, 4-1. UN has out-scored its opponents 8-4. Jaycie Johnson leads the team in scoring with three goals and one assist for seven points. Mayme Conroy is second in scoring with two goals for four points. Emma Stevens has played the bulk of the minutes in goal, playing over 250 minutes this season. She has allowed only four goals this season for a 1.43 goals against average this year. MAKING HISTORY With three shutouts to start the season, Utah State has made history. This is the first time in program history that the Aggies have started the season with three-straight shutouts. The defense, behind the stellar play of sophomore goalkeeper Jeannie Woller, has yet to allow a goal this season. So far this season, Utah State recorded shutouts against Creighton (3-0), Utah Valley (1-0) and UTEP (1-0). DYNAMIC DIBB Junior midfielder Kylie Dibb became the first Aggie with multiple goals after scoring the game-winning goal against UTEP on Aug. 30. The junior has been very efficient with six total shots this season, three of which were on goal. She has found the back of the net on two of those shots. SPREADING THE WEALTH - In Utah State s three matches, six different Aggies have earned a point. Juniors Taryn Rose, Kylie Dibb and Lauren Roundy both found the back of the net, along with freshman Jessica Brooksby. Fellow freshman Jayne Robison and junior Brooke Larsen-Leavitt also added assists. Dibb became the first Aggie with two goals when she scored the game-winning goal against UTEP. Robison is the first Aggie to two assists when she assisted on Dibb s goal. NO PLACE LIKE HOME - The Aggies start the season, playing three of its first four matches of the season at the friendly confines of Chuck and Gloria Bell Soccer Field. After the match against Nebraska, USU will hit the road for three of its next four. The Aggies only home match in that span will be against Arkansas on Sept. 13 at 4 p.m., which is also Utah Youth Soccer Day. STARTING WITH A BANG - Utah State began the season with an offensive bang, scoring three goals in the first 45 minutes of action in the win against Creighton on Aug. 23. Junior forward Lauren Roundy scored the first goal of the 2013 season on a breakaway to give the Aggies an early 1-0 just six minutes into the match. The, 3-0, win was the biggest margin of victory in a USU season opener in school history. The Aggies also spread the wealth as three different players scored and five players earned a point. With the win the Aggies made history becoming the first Utah State squad to record shutouts in its first three matches of the season. Utah State is now this season, while handing the Miners their first loss of the year, falling to The Miners started quickly with four shots in the first eight minutes of action. Freshman midfielder Jayne Robison earned her second assist of the season on the goal. Dibb became the first Aggie to score multiple goals this season with her second of the season. WONDERFUL WOLLER - With the graduation of all-western Athletic Conference goalkeeper Ashlyn Mulford, sophomore Jeannie Woller will be looked to take over the starting goalkeeper job. The sophomore has recorded shutouts in her first three matched of the season against Creighton, Utah Valley and UTEP. She now has 15 saves, including several flashy diving saves against the Bluejays. ON THE PITCH - Following the home match against Nebraska, Utah State will travel over the border to take on Idaho State on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 12 p.m. Utah State holds a slight series lead over the Bengals. The last time that the two teams met was in 2011 when USU pounded ISU 6-1 in Logan. Aggie great Shantel Flanary recorded a hat trick, while USU standout Natalie Norris added two goals. Forward Jennifer Flynn added one goal to round out the Aggie scoring barrage. WOLLER NAMED MOUNTAIN WEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Utah State sophomore goalkeeper Jeannie Woller was named Mountain West Soccer Defensive Player of the Week; it was announced by the league last Monday. Woller earned her first career player of the week honor and became the first Aggie to 2

Woller, a Sandy, Utah native, was solid in net, earning her second career complete shutout after Utah State defeated Creighton in the season opener on Aug. 23, 3-0. At one point in the second half she made two saves within four minutes to keep the Bluejays off the board. The sophomore was stellar in net to help preserve the Utah State win with five second-half saves and seven saves overall. She was also able to help the Utah State defense fend off five Creighton corner kicks. O CAPTAIN! MY CAPTAIN! - The Utah State squad has voted on a pair of captains for the 2013 season, including seniors Shay Haddow, Jennifer Flynn and junior Taryn Rose. THE NEW CREW - There are 12 newcomers on the 2013 roster, including two transfers. Sophomore Katie Flynn, who is the sister of all-wac forward Jennifer Flynn, joins the team this season as a transfer from Idaho State. Junior midfielder/forward Kelsey Burke come to Utah State from Foothill College. Utah State has 10 freshmen on the roster this season eight of which hail from the Beehive State. AGGIES TIED FOR THIRD IN PRESEASON MW POLL - Utah State soccer was picked to finish in a tie for third with UNLV in the Mountain West Conference Preseason Poll, as voted on by the 11 Mountain West head women s soccer coaches. The Aggies and Rebels were both picked to finish third with 77 points. Defending champion San Diego State was picked as the favorite to win the 2013 MW regular-season title. The Aztecs collected nine first-place votes and 99 total points. New Mexico was second with 86 points and one first-place vote. Boise State (61 points) and Fresno State (52 points), finished fifth and sixth, respectively. Wyoming (45 points) was chosen seventh, while Nevada (43 points) and MW newcomer San José State (31 points) were picked eight and ninth, respectively. Air Force (20 points) and first-year program Colorado State (12 points) rounded out the standings. 4 2013 Utah State Soccer This is the Aggies first season in the Mountain West after eight seasons in the Western Athletic Conference. During its time in the WAC, USU won four league titles in the last five season, including WAC Tournament titles. HEAD COACH HEATHER CAIRNS - In her 11th season at Utah State is Heather Cairns, who became the winningest coach in school history after recording her 27th career victory on Sept. 30, 2006, defeating Eastern Washington 1-0. In her 10 seasons at the helm of the Aggies, Cairns has compiled a (.567) record passing former head coach Stacy Enos ( ) who went (.306) in five seasons with the Aggies.
