2 About the Conference The 9th annual conference will offer two simultaneous courses over the two day conference. The Transfusion Medicine course will span both days. The second course consists of one day of Clinical Laboratory and Pathology presentations followed by a second day focusing on quality and leadership. As an attendee, you may choose to attend either course on each given day. Please indicate the course you plan to attend on the registration form. Spacing is limited for each course, so sign-up early to reserve your spot. Six P.A.C.E. credits will be offered per day in the courses. Program Content: This conference is designed to promote educational opportunities in Clinical Laboratory Medicine. The purpose of this educational activity is to enhance the knowledge of medical laboratory professionals and students by addressing a wide variety of topics focused on transfusion medicine, chemistry, microbiology, hematology, pathology, molecular techniques, quality, and leadership. The target audience includes Managers, Supervisors, and Technologists who work in the field of clinical laboratory science, laboratory medicine, or a related field. Also, students studying to work in these fields are welcome. Credit Designation: Children s Medical Center designates this live activity for a maximum of 12 P.A.C.E. credits. Attendees should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. Conflict of Interest: It is Children s Medical Center s process according to ASCLS requirements that participants in the ASCLS P.A.C.E. activities should be made aware of any affiliation of financial interest that may affect the speakers presentations. Each speaker has completed and signed a conflict of interest statement. This will be disclosed at the beginning of each presentation. Educational Levels: Basic (B): Entry Level: No prior knowledge of subject necessary. Intermediate (I): Refresher courses; some basic knowledge required. Advanced (A): Highly technical; for those with current knowledge and experience in a specialty area. Anticipated Conference Education Credits: 12 P.A.C.E. (six credits per day) Accreditation: Children s Medical Center is approved as a provider of continuing education programs in the clinical laboratory sciences by the ASCLS P.A.C.E. program.

Security will open the gate, and you may park in any spot that is not marked Reserved. From the garage, follow the covered walkway on the ground floor, and enter the Trinity Towers building through the back entrance. The conference will be held on the 6th floor.
