7 SATURDAY, JUNE 3 10:00 10:45 A.M. TIME TO LEARN ENRICHMENT SESSIONS (Concurrent) SESSION I: Campus Walking Tour led by Mary Helen Kashuba, SSJ, D.M.L. 55 (also known as Sister Irma Mercedes). Explore the history and architecture of our beloved campus. Meet in Fournier Hall Lobby. Tour will leave promptly at 10a.m. SESSION II: Out of the Virtual Cloister: The Sisters of St. Joseph of Philadelphia After Vatican II Ryan Murphy, M.A., M.S. After Pope St. John XXIII s call to open the windows of the Church to let in some fresh air, the Second Vatican Council was commissioned in 1962 and over the next few years dramatically transformed the Catholic Church. This was particularly true for many women religious who as vowed members of active communities, were still bound by the Church s rigidity and convent rules. This presentation looks at the internal and external cultural shifts within the Sisters of St. Joseph of Philadelphia from the 1960s-2000s, and how the emergence of a feminist consciousness after Vatican II empowered them to take more active roles in promoting social justice and gender equality. REUNION WEEKEND SESSION III: Dealing with Complicated Grief Marie Conn, Ph.D., Fellow of Thanatology and Professor of Religious Studies We all grieve when we lose someone. But when that loss is complicated, we need more help to do the grief work required to go from the old normal through the pain to the new normal. Join me for a conversation about this complicated grief. SESSION IV: Stay Connected: Social Media and You Social media is a great opportunity to #keepintouch. Join Cristina Diaz 15, B.A., Social Media and Community Relations Manager, to learn about the many ways different social media platforms, like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, can help you stay connected with friends, classmates and Chestnut Hill College.

MINORS ON CAMPUS If planning to bring minor children with you on Saturday evening to the picnic dinner, please be aware that the College s Minors on Campus policy will be in effect. A minor, defined as an individual who is not registered as a student at Chestnut Hill College and who is under the age of 18, must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times. We look forward to welcoming your minor children to CHC and ask you to keep this policy in mind when registering for Saturday s activities. REUNION WEEKEND PHOTOGRAPHY Chestnut Hill College hires two photographers during the weekend, one to record activities and events candids and one specifically for class pictures on Saturday. Your registration form includes a line for you to indicate your class picture order at $15 per picture, which will be mailed to you during the summer. The candids are used for CHC publications, websites, fundraising materials and other non-commercial purposes. Please inform the Alumni Relations Office in advance if you do not want to be photographed for these purposes. We also ask you to repeat your instruction to the photographer in the event that you are inadvertently included in a group candid or crowd shot. ANNUAL REUNION MEMORIAL MASS All alumni are welcome to celebrate the Annual Reunion Memorial Mass on Saturday afternoon. This is the only liturgy celebrated during the weekend.

18 REUNION WEEKEND COSTS The prices charged for activities, events and meals offset a portion of the costs for food, beverages, food service, housekeeping, entertainment, photography, valet parking, and other items and services offered throughout the weekend. We attempt to keep all fees reasonable so that as many alumni as possible can enjoy their return home to CHC. Reservations at $75 per night include bed & bath linens and full breakfast the following morning. Refunds are not available after April 1.
