1 THE CATHOLIC WOMEN S LEAGUE OF CANADA OTTAWA DIOCESAN COUNCIL Under the Patronage of the ARCHBISHOP OF OTTAWA TO: Members of The Catholic Women s League in the Diocese of Ottawa January, 2018 NOTICE OF MEETING Under the patronage of His Grace, Most Reverend Terrence Prendergast, S.J., Archbishop of Ottawa, the Convention will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Our Lady of Fatima Church,153 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, Ontario. Registration will commence, in the parish hall at 8:15 A.M. The Business Session will be called to order at 9:00 A.M. The Closing Mass will be offered, at 4:30 p.m., following the Business Session, for the living and deceased members and spiritual advisors of The Catholic Women s League. 4 THE CATHOLIC WOMEN S LEAGUE OF CANADA OTTAWA DIOCESAN COUNCIL January, 2018 TO: Parish Council Presidents, Honorary Life Member, Life Members, and Diocesan Officers CREDENTIALS OTTAWA DIOCESAN CONVENTION According to Article XIV of the Constitution & Bylaws (2013), the following delegates are entitled to vote at the Diocesan Convention. VOTING DELEGATES: Each parish council president (or a member chosen to replace the president at the convention). Voting delegates may vote on all questions. ACCREDITED DELEGATES: (a) Two members appointed from each parish council. (b) Officers of the diocesan council. (c) Life Members of the diocese. Accredited delegates may vote on any question except elections of officers, amendments to the Constitution & Bylaws and increases in per capita fees. Parish Council Presidents please complete the enclosed Credential Forms for the Voting Delegate and two Accredited Delegates who will represent your council. Enclose half of each Credential Form, with the Convention Registration Form. Delegates will bring the other half of their Credential Form with them to present, at the time of registration. Complete the Registration Form with the names of all your members who will be attending and your spiritual advisor, if attending, along with a cheque to cover the total cost. See attached Registration Form for mailing address. Life Members are reminded that they may register through their council or directly to the address on the Registration Form. Life members will not receive credentials at this time as they will sign the Credential Book at the time of registration. Your kind cooperation is very much appreciated. It is to be noted that this will be a SCENT FREE event, so we ask that you refrain from wearing any scented products, especially perfumes and colognes. All members are encouraged and welcome to attend.
