Since the inception of the Conference, we have made great strides in promoting diversity. This year s conference is centered on advancing our knowledge of two main areas: Diversity and Leadership. That is, we recognize that the demographics of the workplace are changing, and in a global economy, organizations must be innovative and creative. To achieve these goals, businesses must constantly strive for change and promote environments of inclusion, while also educating employees on the importance of these policies. Our one-day conference will afford organizations the opportunity to explore tools and resources necessary to build a diverse workforce and remain competitive on the global stage. The event will also provide a valuable opportunity for professional development and networking. Pittsburgh knows that an inclusive city is a productive city. During this year s bicentennial celebration, our leadership community, governmental, corporate, and civic acknowledged that we cannot improve the experience of everyone in our community without first knowing and supporting the rich diversity within the community. Pittsburgh has learned firsthand that cultural diversity is not a by-product but a key driver to growing a strong and inclusive economy that is built to last. To that end, this year s conference agenda has been designed to immerse you in rich and meaningful learning opportunities that will reaffirm what our city has known for some time talent and ability are not limited, but enhanced, by the diversity and cultural expertise that residents bring to our region. Year after year, the Pittsburgh Leadership Conference attracts nationally recognized experts in cultural competence, workplace inclusion, emerging trends, policy, research and other leading-edge diversity disciplines. As a coach and consultant, Megan marries her many years of operational and financial expertise with her passion for empowering current and future senior executives with the tools to graduate from Excellent to Superior. Megan was previously the CEO of Request For Relief LLC, a national organizational-wellness consultancy servicing clients facing high-stress business and workplace challenges, including restructurings and post-m&a integration. Prior to leading Cleghorn Performance Elevation and RFR, Megan spent more than a decade at the premier global law firm as a corporate restructuring professional, advising companies in distressed situations on operational and financial reorganizations as they underwent transformational change. In addition, Megan is currently an instructor in, and advisor to The Wharton School of Business MBA Program on topics of Executive Communication and Advanced Persuasion. Megan regularly presents nationally on topics of Transformational Change, Leadership Empowerment, Advancement of Women, Organizational Wellness, and Entrepreneurship.
