Sessions for boys and girls in Kindergarten (5 yrs. Old by 9/1/2017) through Junior High school will resume in the Fall. These sessions provide support for the parents who are the primary and foremost teachers in the faith. Preparation for reception of First Eucharist and Confirmation involve a minimum of two years. These years provide a foundation and focus on Christ, His Message and His Church. Registration forms will be posted on the parish website: Early registration is encouraged. Questions and concerns may be directed to the PREP office at or by religioused@stanthonyftl.org Farewell to Connie Prescott who has been a faithful catechist and catechist sub in the PREP. Farewell to Mia McNerney who have been a faithful Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion for the 12:00 noon Mass. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) : The RCIA group for 2017 have closed their sessions for this year. They will continue on their journey in faith and will join the ministries in the parish. If you, or someone you know, has expressed interest in becoming a member of the Catholic Church and desires to receive Baptism (if not already baptized), First Eucharist (Holy Communion), and/or Confirmation please invite them to contact the Parish Office at or the PREP Office at for information. There is an RCIA 2018 group forming and will meet once a month through the summer. These summer sessions are informal, inquiry sessions and open to those who are interested. All of us at St. Anthony Catholic School and Church thank our teachers and appreciate their dedication to our students and school. It takes a big heart to shape little minds. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! NJHS will be hosting a World s Finest Chocolate bar sale from May 8th through May 19th. There will be a Night of the Arts at the school on Wednesday, May 10th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Drama Club will also hold a Bake Sale. Wednesday, May 17th, is an early release day, a 1:00 p.m. dismissal. Please remember there are no early dismissals on early release days. Parents are invited to the Home and School meeting in the cafeteria on Thursday, May 18th, 6-7 p.m. There is a PBJ Service Project for students after school on Friday, May 19th. Athletic Awards will be in the gym on Wednesday, May 24th, 7-8 p.m. Drama Awards will be in the cafeteria on Thursday, May 25th, 6-8 p.m. Passing of the Torch will be held during the school Mass at 8;15 a.m. on Friday, May 26th. Grade 8 Academic Awards will follow the Mass. There will be no school on Monday, 29th in observance of Memorial Day.
