2 What is an exchange program? 1 or 2 semester studies at the University abroad with which SGH has signed an agreement on cooperation and student exchange Non-degree mobility (i.e. students don t receive diploma of the host University) Recognition of courses done abroad as equivalent or supplementary to study program at home university Student has rights and obligations of both home and host university On the basis of the cooperation agreement student is waived from paying fee at the host university. 6 Operational Program Knowledge Education Development (PO WER) PURPOSE: to raise the competences of students with disabilities and students in a difficult financial situation through the implementation of a part of the education program at a foreign university. Co-financing from the PO WER project [instead of Erasmus+ to program countries] will be granted to SGH students who, at the time of the end of selection, receive SGH social scholarship (provided that SGH receives funds for the implementation of PO WER project). Persons with a recognized degree of disability: they can apply for additional funds (an application for additional funds is submitted by the participant to the university coordinator of the Erasmus+ program). the granted amount will be settled as actual costs (it is necessary to collect financial evidence). costs should be adapted to the real needs of the type of disability and cost-effective.

8 TO BE ABLE TO APPLY FOR ERASMUS+: You need to be the student of the University holding Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) which has active student exchange You should be registered as degree student [full-time or part-time] on 1st, 2nd or 3rd level of studies You should be after your 1st year of bachelor level [though you can apply during your 1st year] You should be citizen of EU country or the 3rd country and have the status of the degree student of the University in the program country

17 RECRUITMENT PROCESS [1] RECRUITMENT PROCESS [2] Students of the 1st semester of master studies (EXCEPT SGH bachelor alums who have been accepted on the basis of their GPA from bachelor level) => result of the recruitment process to SGH (not less than 50% of the maximum numer of points) will be calculated Students of the 1st semester of master studies, SGH bachelor alums who have been accepted on the basis of their GPA from bachelor level => GPA from bachelor level [after 5 semester of studies] will be calculated Selection Erasmus+, PIM & bilateral Agreements basic rules [2]
18 Selection Erasmus+, PIM & bilateral Agreements basic rules [3] Semester of calculating GPA Language proficiency Last semester taken into account in the main selection is Spring term 2016/2017 (Fall term 2017/2018 is not taken into account!) Since 2017 unified language competence test from language(s) of tutorials in place of the CNJO competence tests from any language (mandatory for 3rd semester of bachelor and 1st semester of master levels) Min. Level = B2 (min. 75 points) in ESOP/CEF scale. CNJO competence test done not earlier than in Spring edition 2015 is still valid
19 Selection Erasmus+, PIM & bilateral Agreements basic rules [4] STUDENT ACTIVITY [1] STUDENT ACTIVITY [2] Applicants receive points for student activity which is assessed by SGH Student Union on the basis of Rules of Student Activity Assessment Master level students who have been studying in different universities and had student activity there, can obtain points provided they contact about that Student Union before the selection process. Applying for student activity points during the exchange selection will be not taken into account
20 Selection Erasmus+, PIM & bilateral Agreements basic rules [5] Commercial language certificate (list of recognised certificates attached to the rules of selection) Language Proficiency Students may receive points for language proficiency on the basis of: CNJO certificate for the language tutorial at SGH with the proficiency level expressed in ESOP/CEF scale which cannot be lower than B2
21 Students exempt from the test are those that graduated from a foreign language high school or institution of higher education. The waiver applies solely to the language in question and results in the student s obtaining: 80 points (B2) in case of graduating from secondary school in Poland with foreign language of instruction and obtaining relevant confirmation about language waiver when applying for studies in a given country (incl. International Baccalaureate: IB and European Baccalaureate: EB) 90 points (C1) in case of graduating from secondary school abroad 90 points (C1) in case of graduating from higher education institution in foreign language (both in Poland and abroad), incl.: BILINGUAL SECONDARY SCHOOL FINAL EXAM IS NOT RECOGNISED diploma of graduating from higher education studies in philology or applied linguistics; diploma of graduating from higher education studies in foreign language (on the basis of diploma and diploma supplement). LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY WAIVER from tests and certificates
22 Selection Erasmus+, PIM & bilateral Agreements calculation of selection points [1] Assessment factor Situation Minimum level GPA After Spring term 2016/2017 Min. 3.40: (obtained GPA 3.40) x 25 Students accepted to master studies on the basis of their GPA the basis for calculation is the GPA from the first 5 semesters of undergraduate studies at SGH: (obtained GPA 3.40) x 25 Students of 1st semester of fulltime master studies Students of 1st semester of bachelor studies No recruitment process outcome of the SGH recruitment process (not lower than 50% of the maximum possible score) is converted into GPA as follows: (obtained score minus 50%) x 0.8 SGH admission process results for the 1st year of full-time and part-time undergraduate studies on the basis of the secondary school leaving exams are calculated as follows: (no. of points 253) x 0.5 students will receive the number of points equal to the arithmetic mean of points received for this criterion by other students of a given study level participating in the selection process who fulfil formal criteria

37 IMPORTANT TIPS DON T WAIT until last moment with filling in the application online! UPLOAD SCAN(S) ceof your commercial language certificate(s), CNJO language tutorial certificate, diploma of graduation from secondary school/studies in foreign language LACK OF SCAN of above mentioned document(s) and/or LACK OF DECLARATION of these documents = exclusion from selection; no subject for appeal CHOOSE as many universities as possible (16 possible choices within all exchange programs) according to your preferences
38 IMPORTANT TIPS GET FAMILIAR with information about countries and available universities before you choose them in the appplication = no possibility of changing the choises after closing the online stage GET FAMILIAR (apart from checking the offer of the university) with current security info about the country on the website of your Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Check also visa requirements applicable for you GET FAMILIAR with the academic offer of the University you re interested in and CHECK if they match your study program at SGH.
39 IMPORTANT TIPS In case of having proofs of proficiency in 2 or more langauges, the highest score is taken into account (points don t add up). You can apply ONLY for the places which are available on your actual level of studies and according to the language competencies you have. REMEMBER places will be divided between semesters. Priority will be given to students for who winter term 2017/2018 will be their last semester of studies
