7 KA 1 : Staff mobility

8 Aims: To develop and broaden knowledge, skills and competences of staff/organizations active in the adult sector Main activities: (Duration: 2 days 2 months) Participation in structured courses/training events abroad Job shadowing/observation period in an adult education or other sector relevant to the organisation abroad Teaching assignments Duration of the project: 1 to 2 years

9 Who can apply? An adult education organisation sending its staff abroad; An adult education organisation, acting as coordinator of a national mobility consortium of adult education organisations. Individuals cannot apply directly for a grant. When to apply? February 2017 (to be confirmed) Budget for: - Organisational support (contribution to unit costs) - Travel (contribution to unit costs) - Individual support (contribution to unit costs) - Course fee (contribution to unit costs) - Special need support (Real costs)

10 KA 2 : Strategic Partnership

11 Aims and objective: 2 types of SP SP supporting EXCHANGE OF GOOD PRACTICES develop and reinforce networks, increase their capacity to operate at transnational level, share and confront ideas, practices and methods results and activities cofinanced through the budget for project management and implementation. SP supporting INNOVATION develop innovative outputs, and/or engage into intensive dissemination and exploitation activities of existing and newly produced products or innovative ideas Specific budget for Intellectual Outputs and Multiplier Events

12 Who can take part in a SP? - organisations established in Programme Countries - organisations from Partner Countries: ONLY as partners (not as applicants) ONLY if their participation brings added value to the project. Composition of a SP: minimum 3 organisations from 3 different Programme Countries. No maximum number of partners. N.B: the budget for the management costs is capped (and equivalent to 10 partners) Duration of the project: between 12 and 36 months EU Priorities SP must address either: at least one horizontal priority or at least one specific priority relevant to the adult field

13 2017 Horizontal Priorities (to be confirmed): Achievement of relevant and high quality skills and competences: support individuals in acquiring and developing key competences - including basic, transversal and soft skills, entrepreneurial, foreign language and digital skills - in order to foster employability, socioeducational and professional development. Social inclusion: promote -through innovative integrated approaches- inclusion, diversity, equality, gender-balance and non-discrimination in education, training and youth activities: - fostering the development of social, civic, intercultural competences, media literacy and critical thinking, - enhancing the access, participation and learning performance of disadvantaged learners, reducing disparities in learning outcomes. Open and innovative practices, in a digital era: promote e innovative methods and pedagogies, develop learning materials, tools and actions that support the effective use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in education, training and youth.

14 2017 Horizontal Priorities (to be confirmed): Educators: strengthen the recruitment, selection and induction of the best candidates for the teaching profession as well as to actions supporting the promotion of high-quality teaching, training and youth work; support the professional development of educators Transparency and recognition of skills and qualifications: - facilitate employability as well as learning and labour mobility and facilitate transitions between different levels and types of education and training, between education/training and the world of work, and between different jobs. - promote recognition, transparency and comparability of qualifications and learning outcomes Sustainable investment, performance and efficiency: support funding models attracting private actors and capital, the design of evidence-based reforms that deliver quality in education, training and youth systems and policies, the development of innovative ways to ensure sustainable investment

15 2017 Adult education specific priorities (to be confirmed): Improving and extending the supply of high quality learning opportunities tailored to the needs of individual low-skilled or low-qualified adults so they acquire literacy, numeracy or digital skills, including through the validation of skills acquired through informal and non-formal learning; Increasing the demand and take-up through effective outreach, guidance and motivation strategies which encourage low-skilled or low-qualified adults, to develop and upgrade their literacy, numeracy and digital skills; Extending and developing educators' competences, particularly in the effective teaching of literacy, numeracy and digital skills to low-skilled or lowqualified adults, including through the effective use of ICT..

16 Mobilities Transnational Project meeting Transnational learning, teaching or training activities in so far as they bring added value in the achievement of the project's objectives

17 Eligible Transnational learning, teaching or training activities Blended mobility of learners combining short-term physical mobility (5 days to 2 months; excluding travel days) with virtual mobility; Long-term teaching or training assignments (2 to 12 months ) Short-term joint staff training events (3 days to 2 months; excluding travel days)

18 Budget for ALL SP Item Eligible cost Amount Project management and implementation Contribution to unit costs Project management (e.g. planning, finances, coordination and communication between partners, etc.); small scale learning/teaching/training materials, tools, approaches etc. Virtual cooperation and local project activities (e.g. classroom project work with learners, youth work activities, organisation and mentoring of embedded learning/training activities, etc.); information, promotion and dissemination (e.g. brochures, leaflets, web information, etc.). Costs linked to the implementation of transnational youth initiatives. Coordinator: 500 EUR per month Partner: 250 EUR per organisation per month Maximum 2750 EUR per month Transnational project meetings Contribution to unit costs Participation in meetings between project partners and hosted by one of the participating organisations for implementation and coordination purposes. Contribution to travel and subsistence costs For travel distances between 100 and 1999KM: 575 EUR per participant per meeting For travel distances of 2000 KM or more: 760 EUR per participant per meeting

22 Award Criteria Relevance of the project (maximum 30 points) -The relevance of the proposal to the objectives and the priorities of the Action (see section "What are the aims and priorities of a Strategic Partnership"). - the proposal is based on a genuine and adequate needs analysis; - the objectives are clearly defined, realistic and address issues relevant to the participating organisations and target groups; - the proposal is suitable of realising synergies between different fields of education, training and youth; - the proposal is innovative and/or complementary to other initiatives already carried out by the participating organisations; - the proposal brings added value at EU level through results that would not be attained by activities carried out in a single country.

23 Award Criteria Quality of the project design and implementation (max 20 points) The clarity, completeness and quality of the work programme (preparation, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination); - The consistency between project objectives and activities proposed; - The quality and feasibility of the methodology proposed; - The existence and relevance of quality control measures - The extent to which the project is cost-effective and allocates appropriate resources to each activity. If the project plans training, teaching or learning activities: -The extent to which these activities are appropriate to the project's aims and involve the appropriate number of participants; - The quality of arrangements for the recognition and validation of participants' learning outcomes

24 Award Criteria Quality of the project team and the cooperation arrangements (max 20 points) - the project involves organizations with the necessary profile, experience and - the distribution of responsibilities and tasks demonstrates the commitment of all participating organizations; - if relevant, the project involves participation of organizations from different fields of education, training, youth and other socio-economic sectors; - the project involves newcomers to the Action. - the existence of effective mechanisms for coordination and communication - If applicable, the extent to which the involvement of a participating organisation from a Partner Country brings an essential added value to 24 the project

25 Award Criteria Impact and dissemination (max 30 points) - the quality of measures for evaluating the outcomes of the project - the potential impact of the project on participants, participating organizations, at local, regional, national and/or European levels - the quality of the dissemination plan - if relevant, the extent to which the proposal describes how the materials, documents and media produced will be made freely available - the quality of the plans for ensuring the sustainability of the project: its capacity to continue having an impact and producing results after the EU grant has been used up.

Create an ECAS account Register in the EU Participan Portal to provide basic legal and financial data and upload the Legal Entity form the Financial Identification form For grants exceeding EUR, applicants may need to upload specific documents to give proof of their financial capacity
