2 What is exchange program??? 1 or 2 semester studies in partner university abroad Non degree mobility Recognition of courses taken abroad by home university Exchange program can have a budget allowing to grant the scholarships for the study Abroad period Student does not pay fee for studies at host university. 6 Erasmus+ Key Action 1: Credit mobility! All levels of studies (1st, 2nd and 3rd level) + all disciplinines!! From 3 to 12 months for studies!!! From 2 to 12 months for internships!!!! Multiple mobilities on each level of studies (max. total period of mobilities cannot exceed 12 months on a given level of studies)

9 Erasmus+ KA107 Mobilities with Partner Countries (non-european) Possibility of receiving scholarship for studies at partner university participating in the project (limites number of grants) Scholarship = lump sum for travel calculated by the EU distance calculator List of universities with information on available grants will be available together with lists of universities within Erasmus+, PIM and Bilateral agreements Scholarship will be awarded to student who will receive a place in participating partner university and who will obtain the highest numer of points in the selection proces.

11 BILATERAL AGREEMENTS Student exchange between SGH and partner universities abroad (so called: Bilateral agreements). Within these agreements study period is 1 semester/1 trimester. Recognition of credits done at partner university as part of studies at home university Financial arrangements No study fees at host university Cost of travel, accommodation, insurance and maintenance covered by student Generally no scholarships (some grants may be available for example in: Singapore DUO Singapore Exchange Fellowship Award (MFA), South Korea ASEM DUO Scholarship or Japan) Accommodation Some universities guarantee place in dormitory [paid by student] Free of charge dormitories offered by few universities In other cases apartment rental Student exchange programs 2017/

17 Selection Erasmus+, PIM i Bilateral agreements calculation of points FACTOR SITUATION MINIMUM LEVEL GPA After spring term 2015/16 Students accepted to master studies on the basis of GPA from bachelor studies Students of 1st semester of full time master studies Students of 1st semester of full time bachelor studies NO points for recruitment proces (part-time studies and studies in English) From 3.40 calculated: (achieved GPA 3,40) x 25 GPA after 5 semesters of bachelor studies at SGH, on the basis of which students got accepted to master studies: (achieved GPA 3,40) x 25 Result of recruitment proces for master studies not lower than 50% of max. Number of points: (obtained results in % 50%) x 0.8 Results of recruitment proces to bachelor studies on the basis of the secondary school leaving exam [matura]: (number of obtained points 253) x 0.5 arithmetic mean of points awarded for this criterion by other students of a given level of studies, taking part in the selection who meet its formal criteria.
18 Selection Erasmus+, PIM i Bilateral agreements calculation of points FACTOR SITUATION MINIMUM LEVEL FOREIGN LANGUAGES PROFICIENCY SGH CNJO language competence tests Commercial certificates (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, DELF, DELE etc.) Diploma of secondary school on foreign language Diploma of higher education institution in foreign language minimum 75 points (75%) number of points = (results of the test minus 75) x 1.6 min. level B2 number of points = (number of points for certificate minus 75) x 1.6 Recognised level B2 Recognised level C1 CNJO certificate of completion of the language course in SGH with the grade and level of proficiency in ESOP/CEF scale
19 LANGUAGES WAIVER from tests and certificates Students entitled to a test waiver are those that graduated from studies in foreign language at high school or institution of higher education. The waiver applies solely to the language in question and results in the student s obtaining: 80 pkt (B2) graduating from secondary school in Poland with Foreign language of instruction and obtaining relevant confirmation about language waiver when applying for studies in a given country (including: International Baccalaureate IB and European Baccalaureate EB); 90 points (C1) in case of graduating from secondary school abroad; 90 pkt (C1) in case of graduating from higher education institution in foreign language, including: BILINGUAL SECONDARY SCHOOL LEAVING EXAM DIPLOMAS WILL NOT BE RECOGNISED Diploma of graduating from higher education studies in philology or applied linguistics Diploma of graduating from higher education studies in Foreign language (on the basis of diploma and diploma suplement)
20 Selection Erasmus+, PIM i Bilateral agreements basic rules Applicants receive credit for organisational activities as assessed by the Student Council on the basis of Regulations for Evaluation of Science Club and Organizational Project STUDENT ACTIVITY Students of master studies who have been active on their bachelor studies in other universities can have their points transferred provided they supply Student Union with relevant confirmations. 23 Selection Erasmus+, PIM i Bilateral agreements selection process FILLING IN OF THE APPLICATION ( until ) Upload in the system of scans [except CNJO language competence test] of documents proving language proficiency Declaration of language certificate in the system INTERNET REGISTRATION (APPLICATION) ASSESSMENT OF APPLICATIONS Annoucing of the points for the selection criteria Delivery of appeals to Appeal Commission ASSIGNING SLOTS AT PARTNER UNIVERSITIES ACCEPTANCE OF ASSIGNMENT S Acceptance or rejection of the assigned place Resignation without consequences 2 weeks after publishing the list of final assignments
24 IMPORTANT TIPS DON T WAIT until last moment with registration in the online application! UPLOAD SCAN of your commercial certificate, certificate of completion of the language course in SGH, diploma of secondary school/university in foreign language [diploma + supplement]. LACK OF SCAN of above mentioned documents and /or LACK OF DECLARATION of these documents in the system = exclusion from the selection; no possibility of appeal. CHOOSE as many universities as possible (16 possible choices from all universities available for your level and language proficiency) according to your real preferences.
25 IMPORTANT TIPS GET ACQUAINTED with information about countries and universities you re interested in before you choose them in the application = no possibility of changing preferences after closing the application GET ACQUAINTED with course offer of the universities and CHECK if they match your study major at SGH GET ACQUAINTED (apart from checking the universities offer) with current security situation in a given country [on the website of your national Ministry of Foreign Affairs] READ REPORTS of your precedessors [most available only in Polish]
26 IMPORTANT TIPS In case of having language confirmations from 2 or more languages the best result is taken into account Student can apply ONLY for places which are available on his/her level of studies and where he/she fulfills language proficiency requirements. REMEMBER places will be divided between semesters. Priority will be given to students for who the fall term 2016/17 will be the last semester of studies. ALL CORRESPONDENCE with International Centre and other units of SGH can be done only through in SGH domain
27 ERASMUS+ Internships Application to Erasmus+ internships is done on the basis of delivered documents. Scholarships for internships are availble both to students as well as to SGH alumni. More info on the International Centre website Student exchange programs 2017/
