Reid led the Cardinals to a win over Marquette on Feb. 16 to snap the Cardinals fi ve-game losing streak. Reid recorded her ninth double-double of the season with 26 points and 15 rebounds. The sophomore forward went 9-of-14 from the fi eld and 8-of-9 from the foul line to lead Louisville. Reid tied her career highs in both points and rebounds. She also set a career high with fi ve blocks, while also fi nishing with four assists. BIG EAST FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK Shenneika Smith, St. John s, Fr., G (Brooklyn, N.) Smith helped lead the Red Storm to their biggest win in program history, a victory over No. 4/T3 Notre Dame on Feb. 16. The freshman guard posted her fi rst career double-double with a game-high 23 points, while grabbing 10 rebounds. Smith connected on 10-of-12 free throw attempts and added three assists and two steals in 35 minutes of action. In the second half, she scored 13 points, grabbed six rebounds and went 8-of-10 from the free throw line to hold off the Irish s late rally. This is Smith s third Freshman of the Week honor this season, and the fourth for St. John s.
