The FY12 Approved Budget represents an increase of $199,400 (2.9%) over the FY11 Adopted Budget. The significant budgetary changes include: FY11 Commodities and services decreased $467,400. The federal grant for staffing adequate fire and emergency response recruitment (SAFER) program expenditures were largely incurred during FY10. In addition, as a budgetary reduction measure, the contribution to the equipment replacement reserve was reduced by $150,000. FY12 Commodities and Services increased $94,000 (5.8%) due largely to a combination of $50,000 for water hydrant and reservoir maintenance and a $30,000 contribution to the equipment replacement reserve. 164
