2 Ergo Presentation at Connections Similar situation to OHS Talks (see below): lack of time to commit in organizing a presentation (H. Carson sent out no positive response) H. Carson will have a table and the pop-up poster on one of the Connections days in Vernon Safety App Presentation at Connections OHS Talks M. McCrea will complete the online submission form for Connections; 30 min session H. Carson sent out blank schedule for committee members to sign up (no one signed up) As there was no commitment from the members, the OHS Talks are cancelled Inside Okanagan Submission Schedule March: M. McCrea Safety App April: no volunteers at this time BUSINESS ARISING 1. Air Quality P. Csandl P. Csandl pulled a report from the FBS Work Order (WO) system for the S building on all air quality related issues; only 3 found since November 2017 (start date for the system) One: odor from the washroom exhaust system (reported twice) solved (no reoccurrence). Checked local exhaust fan which had good flow. Found floor drain dry, filled drain problem was solved. Work orders Two and Three are related to welding and chiller installation activity on the roof. The work was done close to the ventilation intake on the roof; ventilation systems have two filter sections in place which ensures no debris went into the building, the odor/smell was the only concern. No health hazard was present All concerns should be submitted via the WO system for tracking purposes (no s, phone calls) Procedures are in place to address all concerns; for odor related issues, a worker is sent within the hour WSBC is okay with tracking being done through the WO system If an issues is not fully resolved after the first request is submitted, please submit another request this will help with tracking and will flag problem areas in the system Historical data from the building management system shows that CO2 levels are within regulated values. Facilities staff checked the ventilation systems: all filters and internals are in good condition Particulate testing has been done in Salmon Arm (cost $7,000), as it was required for a particular situation. Upgrades to the ventilation system have been completed in Salmon Arm Welding, Vernon Trades; Penticton Welding is next Particulate testing can be done if the situation requires it however this should be done as a last resort if all else fails. It must be determined what type of particulate testing will be required. The S building situation, as seen from the Work Order system, does not justify particulate testing 2. First Aid Callouts (deferred from last meeting) All departments have been advised by the Regional Dean to invite M. McCrea to staff meetings and explain the first aid callout procedures M. McCrea already met with 2 departments All tool room attendants in Trades are now trained as Emergency Wardens 3. Annual Training Committee members reminded to decide if they will take any training this year If not, please let M. McCrea know so that the hours can be donated to someone else H.
