PAG Travel Reduction Program Almost all excuses are addressed with solutions by the Travel Reduction Program
I Feel Much Better Now!

It can be Done
Possible Approaches to TRP Get management buy in especially department managers. Survey employees for information on what will make TRP easier for them. Have PAG info readily available. Recognize that TRP is a process that will require ongoing effort. Build a team to champion the cause. Advertise other community activities.
Cottonwood Travel Reduction Program TRP is one part of Cottonwood s Sustainability Team s projects. Keeping employees informed: Internal website has a Travel Reduction Program folder under Employee Resources Includes all PAG and Sun Ride Share information Includes information about Cottonwood s Incentive Program blasts are sent to employees every 6 to 8 weeks with updates Announcements are made in staff meetings Posters and fliers are placed on department notice boards Have conversations with employees about the program
Cottonwoods Incentive Program Program started January 2014 Internal carpool sign up as well as PAG resources Bike storage and showers Incentives The person using the most alternative modes of transportation in a calendar quarter is eligible for a gift. Choices Starbucks gift card Movie tickets Subway gift card Carwash coupon for the car you didn t drive to work Cost Minimal cost to keep employees vested in the program
A Work in Progress Coordinate shift times with zip codes Build bus ridership commitment to get management to provide a ride to and from the bus stop. Talk with Sun Tran about a feasibility study to extend a bus route on Silverbell. Develop a bus and bike incentive.
Expert Global Solutions EGS is a world-class comprehensive Business Process Outsourcing entity in global management and outsourcing services. Centralized and Scaled Partner A Firm with a Strong Legacy and Presence End-to-End Customer Lifecycle Support
Company Profile BPO Market Leader Approximately 1.1B Annual Revenue Services a Majority of US Fortune 500 Co. Service Delivery Footprint: -11 Countries -70 Contact Centers -43,000 Employees
Tucson East Site Our Energy clients require non traditional schedules, as such we have many employees that work an early or late Schedule. We also have some folks that work 4/10 s and 3/12 s schedules. We run 7 days a week and 360 days a year. As you can see this does present a challenge to some. But with SunTran or and other modes of alternative transportation such as Rideshare, Carpooling and bike cycling our employee have found ways to meet these challenges. We recruit in the area which makes it more appealing to bus, bike ride and walk to work.
Our Goals This Year 1. Get all involved: Operations, Staff and Leaders 2. We used a communication log that all have access to 3. We offered the survey online and hard copy, 70% of our entries were by hand. 4. Information was posted early so that we could get folks talking about the survey. 5. Made handouts readily available to employees 6. With the co-operation from Ruth, having an alert of our numbers gave us incentive to meet our goals.
Next Years Promotion Promote online participation Prizes for getting competed surveys in early Site Director will promote the survey in an to all Create a internal website Promote different modes of transportation thru out the year Offer hard copies to those who do not have computer access
During the survey period a large number were impacted by the strike. With constant communication, Supervisors modifying schedules, and continued to increase additional carpooling spaces we were able to help our employees get to work, and have less stress about their personal transportation issues. I want to thank Ruth and Leslie for their time and attention to our survey questions and requests.
